No one's povShe sat there, in the unfamiliar library, waiting on a certain boy to arrive to start their project. He had been giving her cold shoulders the entire week. It all stared after the writing lesson, he would not even look her way. He passed up on insults when she lost to him academically and would not even look at her when rehearsing at the café. It bothered her, and she didn't like the fact that it did. She didn't like his presence, right? So why did she want him around? For him to throw insults and snarky remarks seemed like heaven to be without. But she missed it. She missed him.
"Hi" his monotone voice almost made her wince, it was so uncomfortable and painfully distant.
"Hey... so shall we begin?" Her voice was breathy and almost trembling. Why was she so nervous? He just nodded her way and she reached for the envelope which held what equation the should build a business around.
"Oh they have to be fucking joking or something!" She exclaim as her eyes scans over the equation. He only quirks an eyebrow at her and she show him the paper.
"Me and you!?" She says in disbelief as his eyes widen.
"The equation of love? Are you fucking serious?" He follows up. "Is it super difficult to build around?" He asks, again his voice is devoid of emotion and she silently wishes that he will get mad or irritated so that she can hear his real voice again.
"Uhm yeah, in case you missed it it's called the equation of love because it's shaped like a heart" it slipped out as a bit harsh and she asks her self what's gotten her so worked up. His gaze hardens and a muscle in his jaw twitches.
"Well I'm fucking sorry I don't know everything about math" he spits and it's like venom drips from his voice. The girl just sits there stunned and still for a moment. He was so different now than just a week ago.
"Let's start then, business man. You should know about these things" She tried to make her voice sound distant, but it came out as desperate for his attention. She hated it.
And so the first few days of their project went on, his cold and distant voice always cutting a deep gash in her heart for unknown reasons. She hated to feel like this. She wanted her Jay back.
Cheonsa's pov
I almost fell of the bus due to students all pushing to get out. As I closed my eyes and prepared to be met by the cold and hard pavement. But two strong arms wrapped around my waist and lifted me to the patch of gras a couple of meters away. I opened my eyes and was met with Beomgyu's bright smile.
"You should be careful Chilly, you could've hurt yourself" his voice was like honey and I just smiled and fixed the good of his hoodie. His eyes never leaving me.
"Thanks Gyu, I thought that fall would be my demise" I stated over dramatically and he laughed while picking up his bag.
"Nothing shall ever hurt you under my watchful eye, angel" he said and fixed my hair as we started walking. Angel, that was new. He's never called me any pet names before. Gosh he's too flirty.
"Chilly, hurry!!!!" Bora was restlessly bouncing on the spot as Dambi just looked dead.
"What happened to you?" I ask Dambi and she just motions for a hug and both me and Bora comply. "Wanna talk about and skip class for ice cream?" I ask and all Dambi could muster was a weak nod as tears pooled in her eyes. I was immediately alarmed and turned to Beomgyu.
"Gyu could you tell Jake to tell our professor that Dambi fell sick and me and Bora need to get her home?" He immediately nodded and I smiled at him. When he then turned around we all saw Jake, with Jay and Heeseung trailing behind him as Jake looked around like an eager puppy to find Bora. Sunghoon and Sunoo was with them as well and I signaled to Sunghoon that he should steer them away.
He looked at me questioning why and I pointed at Dambi and he panicked a bit as Jake had already spotted Bora and was now jogging to us.
" 'Kay Bora you need to talk to Jake while I go down to the bus stop with Bambi, and make Heeseung believe that it's nothing big" Bora saluted jokingly and ran to meet Jake halfway. I turned around but a hand on my shoulder stopped me. I turned around fast and it was Beomgyu. He held out a chocolate bar and pointed at Dambi who was now so close to breaking down it hurt my heart. I nodded and smiled a bit. Then I practically ran with Dambi to the bus stop.
Bora's pov
I felt my cheeks go warm as I jogged to Jake and his friends. His smile made me feel like I was melting and he carefully tucked my hair behind my ears when I reached him. We had been talking a lot recently.
"Good morning, how are you?" He said softly and I just gave him my crinkled eye smile and answered 'good, you?'. "Good, better now in fact. You look beautiful by the way" he flirted and I just giggled.
"Can you tell prof. Kim that me, Dambi and Cheonsa won't be able to attend? Dambi feels sick so we need to get her home" I say and his eyes sadden a bit.
"Okay, just text me if anything happens alright?" Jake gently puts his hand on my cheek and caresses it a little. I smile at him and catch Heeseung's worried eyes. Oh god he's so whipped for Dambi.
"Is it bad, like a fever or worse?" He asks almost frantically and I just shake my head.
"No, nothing major like that. She just feels nauseous and tired. Chilly is probably gonna take care of her for the rest of the day so she's in goood hands mister" I tell him and he gives a small worried smile.
"Is Cheonsa okay? She's not sick or anything like that, right?" Jay surprises me with his question and I raise an eyebrow at him. Over a week of cold shoulders and now he wants to talk about her.
"Yeah she's fine, will probably come to practice but she's skipping classes today" I say but I look at him questionably and Sunghoon intervenes.
"Good to know, you should probably go so you don't miss the bus" he says and I nod at him and was about to turn around when Jake grabbed my arm. He turned me around and looked at me for a moment, then pecked my lips and smiled. Ushering me to the bus stop. I shyly smiled and then jogged down to my friends.
