"Ugh, James, we have been walking for two hours!" Jessie exclaimed tiredly.
"Calm down Jessie." Meowth said, wanting his friend to stop complaining.
The two only kept bickering and arguing as James kept walking to their final destination. He sighed at the two friends fighting, but he kept going. When they got to their base in the forest of Melemele island, they received a call from their boss, Giovanni.
They quickly picked up with nervousness, not knowing why he was calling them. A screen appeared out of thin air with Giovanni's face on it.
"Jessie, James, I called to inform you on some news." He spoke quietly.
"And would that be, Sir?" Meowth asked.
"Since the three of you need assistance on your mission, you will be getting a new teammate." He answered.
"They will arrive very shortly, and I expect you to treat them with respect." He said as he ended the call.
Jessie was burning red with anger. She thought he was looking down on them with disappointment, she couldn't help but feel anger and frustration. Meowth didn't mind it that much, it would mean that they got more help. James, on the other hand, he was curious. He wanted to know what the new recruit was like.
A few minutes later, they heard a small rumble outside. Bewear and Stufful woke up from their nap and went to investigate. The trio (and Wobbuffet) went outside to meet the new recruit. When they made it outside, they saw a F/P with someone jump off of it and return it back to their poke ball.
The person had E/C eyes, H/C hair that was H/L. Next to them was a Y/P, their outfit had a white outfits color scheme and black lining with a bright red R. Jessie was mad, she thought that Y/N was trying to make her seem better than Jessie, but that was just how Y/N rolled.
Meowth thought they looked quite cool to be completely honest. I mean, if someone entered with a F/P and had a Y/P next to them, it would be quite amazing. Wobbuffet thought the same. Bewear and Stufful thought it was a little over the top, but they didn't really care.
James thought they were the coolest person they had ever seen. The entrance, the outfit, the pokémon, everything about them was cool, awesome, and amazing in general. In the matter of seconds, everyone ran toward them to know more about them.
"Hello, my name is Y/N. I'm your new teammate for your mission." They spoke with a calm tone.
"Well, mind you, we were doing perfectly fine!" Jessie said, still angry.
