Breathing Technique: The Breath of Fear (Kyōfu no kokyū)

Derives from: Mist Breathing
Forms in the Technique: 10
Form Names & How they perform in Battle:

First Form: Merinthophobia (Ichi No Kata: Merinsofobia) Getting in close to the demon, the swordsman curled their chain-linked nichirin blade around them, shaving off their whole body with the entwined blade.

Second Form: Tachophobia (Ni No Kata: Takofobia)

A physical technique in which the user extends the chain of their chain-linked blade to lengthen their reach and starts to rotate their arms as fast as possible causing both of their blades to spin wildly around their body slashing at everything around them.

Third Form: Kinesiophobia (San No Kata: Undō kyōfushō) Whipping the chain-linked blade toward the demon's neck the swordsman controls the movement of the weapon, if the demon were to dodge the swordsman can use the whip-like movement of the chain-linked blade to redirect it toward the demon's neck.

Fourth Form: Pteronophobia (Shi No Kata: Tsubasa kyōfushō) The user hands their chain-linked blade in their left hand with their right hand on the handle. This stance makes the chain-linked blade light as a feather making it easier for the user to move at high speeds. The user rushes forward with the intent to end a demon without cause pain.

Fifth Form: Plokámiphobia (Go No Kata: Purokamifobia) The swordsman slashes their chain-linked blade creating a seemingly endless stream of slashes, capable of cutting down their intended target from all distances. The user's limit is eight slashes, if they do more than eight slashes the extra amount of slashes they did will appear on their hands.

Sixth Form: Claustrophobia (Roku No Kata: Heijokyōfushō) A physical technique in which the user can use by throwing the chain of their chain-linked nichirin blade around the neck or body of their demon, from here they can pull the chain at speed knocking the opponent off balance and bringing them toward them. Once off balance the swordsman cuts towards the demon's neck.

Seventh Form: Aichmophobia (Shichi No Kata: Ken'o-kan) The swordsman accelerates the chain-linked blade with a spin of their body and then drives the chain-link vertically through the demon's body, cutting them in half.

Eighth Form: Pseudodysphagia (Hachi No Kata: Kasei enkashōgai) Rushing toward the demon, the swordsman leaps into the air as they wraps the Nichirin chain of their chain-linked blade around the demon's neck and pulls hard until the demon's head is cut off.

Ninth Form: Haphephobia (Ku No Kata: Hefefobia) The swordsmen send out their chain-linked blade towards their target, where it impales into the demon's chest, allowing the swordsmen to pull them through the air towards them for the demon's neck to be slashed by their other chain-linked Nichirin blade.

Tenth Form: Hemophobia (Jū No Kata: Hemofobia) A full-body technique that raises the user's blood pressure and heart rate to its maximum, while using this technique the user's physical capabilities increase exponentially. Usage of this technique, however, is highly dangerous, as the body is put under constant strain the longer this technique is used. It causes the body to temporally shut down.
