You and Gyutaro were lying in bed, talking about the day's events. He was so warm and comfortable to be around, and you couldn't help but feel a certain sense of happiness.
"Today was exhausting, wasn't it?" you asked, turning to face him.
"Yeah," Gyutaro replied, sighing deeply. "Between the constant fighting and trying to deal with the demon slayers, it's been a lot."
You nodded, understanding the weight of what he was saying. You couldn't imagine how difficult it must be to be in his position, always fighting for his life and the lives of his sister.
"It's tough, but you're so strong. You don't give up even when things get tough," you said, stroking his cheek gently.
Gyutaro smiled faintly, his eyes shining in the dim light of the room. "Thanks... It means a lot to hear that," he whispered.
Awkward silence settled between you both for a moment, before he spoke again. "Tell me about your day," he asked softly.
And so, you began to talk. You told him about your day, your work, and your friends. And as you talked, Gyutaro listened intently. The way he listened to you made you feel important, like your thoughts and feelings mattered. And it made you glad to know that despite the difficulties in his own life, he still found space in his heart for you.
Eventually, you both drifted off to sleep, snuggled tightly together. And for a moment, you felt like everything was going to be alright. -🐢 and 🤖
