Mrs. Prakash:

Mrs. Rakhi Prakash:

Age 53 yrs old

Qualification: Dropped out from school at 9th std .....

Mrs. Prakash wife of Mr. Vikas Prakash is a miraculously tiresome character. Noisy and foolish, she is a woman consumed by the desire to see her daughters married and seems to care for nothing else in the world.

But because of her low breeding and often unbecoming behavior, Mrs. Prakash often repels the very suitors whom she tries to attract for her daughters.

Despite this, she is a good mother and a good wife. Mrs. Prakash cares for her daughters and husband, despite the ways she chooses to show her thoughtfulness that is often improper or inconsiderate, which makes her a good wife and mother also a rather embarrassing one .....

She lives for her children and would do anything to advance them in life which in that day and age is marriage. She would never do any intentional damage against her children but sometimes does not realize that how she acts can hurt them. She is one of the best mother that anyone can have, but perhaps a little silly!

She is a dramatic older woman with plenty of worries and "weak" nerves. She often jumps to extremes of situations and causes a scene.

Mrs. Prakash is a person with narcissistic traits absorbed in her own delusion of grandeur, entitlement without an inch of empathy in her core.

She tends to be read at face value-flighty, talkative, too often drunk, and too obsessed with marrying off each of her daughters.

The clever jokes her husband makes at her expense go right over her head, much to his amusement and her elder daughters' disappointment.

Mrs. Prakash's views about marriage are very traditional as she herself was married at the age of 21 ........ Now that she was 53, still due to the society she stays in ..... Her views and thought process is similar to that of regency period .......

She has got five daughters in all .... Out of which first and the last ones are her favourite ones due to their excellent height and attractive features that make them perfect for getting good and wealthy suitors for themselves .......

Also, the last one is the youngest and wildest Prakash daughter. She is her mother's favorite because like Mrs. Prakash, she is preoccupied with gossip, socializing, and men.

Her least favourite daughter is her second daughter (closely followed by third daughter) who she does not understand (or like) at all; when Mr. Prakash's cousin was directing his 'enraptured heart' at her second daughter, Mrs. Prakash thought them both together a perfect match purely because she does not like either of them ......

She was forever worried and her main reason for worry was getting her daughters married .... She was worried if not married then, the women would be a hassle to society by becoming old maids, with no social position. More than merely marry off her daughters, she wanted to "marry them well", which means basically, to marry them to money and position.

An important reason why Mrs. Prakash wanted to eagerly grab any and every rich accomplished man to marry off her daughters too ...... Was that after the death of her husband their estate, house, business was entailed to her husband's cousin ........

It was for the benefit of all of the family and ofcourse most importantly herself ...... She surely didn't want to be stranded homeless and penniless after her husband's death ........
