A/N- so yeah, this is my first Fanfic, so, sorry about any spelling or stuff. But don't doubt me person who actually is reading this. BTW My name is Juleah.
"Come on, Cas. You be the vocalist. You're hella good! Come on, please!" Charlie was practically on her knees, begging for me to sing. I grabbed my black leather jacket, with angel wings stitched on the back, and headed out the door.
"I can't sing for beans, bro. You know it." I said outside of the old abandoned warehouse where we practiced. I flicked open my silver lighter and put a cigarette to my chapped lips. The cold February air nipped at whatever skin was exposed. "Look, let's just send out a notice saying 'vocalist wanted for punk band try outs blah blah blah' and post it all over school. Trust me, with me singing, we will lose the battle of the bands." I said confidently between puffs of smoke. Damn you Meg, I mentally cursed.
"Whatever you say, Cas." Jo called from the old rusty door. She still had her black Fender around her as she tuned. "I'll make posters tomorrow at Kinkos or something." She explained. Cool transparent clouds left her pail lips which snake bites laid under. She seemed pretty warm in her white leather pants, crop top, and red heels. It was like 20 degrees but whatever.
"Why the hell are you wearing a crop top in the middle of December in Albuquerque!" I asked slightly yelling.
"I wear what I want, bitch." She practically spat in my face. She ran her hand through her black and blonde hair.
"Jesus Christ, say it don't spray it." Charlie called from behind me. She pulled her red flannel and leather jacket closer to her body. "It's freezing balls out here. Let's go inside dammit." Her black Doc Martins dragged slightly as she walked in the door. She wore a black beanie that said "LEZBEHONEST" which I took a mental note in buying me one. I was happy with the beanie I had reading "HOODLEM" on the front and "NBHD" on the back. With that. I flicked more ashes on the ground and put my ear buds in and played West Coast by the Neighbourhood.
'Me
I'm from a different type of left land
Old wild Westland
Nosebleeds, palm trees, and tumble weeds rustlin'
Outside they say it's happy here but it's depressin''' you got that right about New Mexico Jesse. Ah, Jesse Rutherford. The lead singer of the Neighbourhood. I got turned on just thinking of him.
'Too many pretty faced catching my attention
So I look at 'em
Remind myself in the smudged glass
That pretty isn't everything you punkass." I wish it wasn't
"Always hard to see past the surface
When it looks so perfect."
...but our eyes will disguise dirt on purpose... I sang along. That line was the meaning of my life. I met a hot boy ...our eyes will disguise dirt on purpose... look at myself in the mirror ...our eyes will disguise dirt on purpose... think I the day is good ...our eyes will disguise dirt on purpose... I was soon pulled from my black thoughts.
"Get your ass in here Cassie. It's cold and we have midterms next week. I don't need you sick." Charlie pestered.
"I'm commin' hold up, will ya?" I took my ear buds out and adjusted my gages. I stomped out my cigarette and walked through the door.A/N First chapter. Please comment on how I did? The Neighbourhood is life. *pets my Jesse Rutherford voodoo doll and whispers* I'm hella straight for you Jesse. *then looks at burlap doll of Felicia Day and whispers* I've always been gay for you baby. Anyways, check out the song If you haven't already. And beeteedubs, The Neighbourhood are the dudes that sing sweater weather. Sorry if short. Just a beginning.
