I woke up to the sound of my alarm pounding into my eardrums. I sat up, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes and turned my alarm off. I got out of bed after a few moments, and pulled on pants and a plain t-shirt. I walked down the stairs, listening as my feet pounded against the wood with each step. I walked into the kitchen and decided on what to make. I decided on just coffee for now, and started to make it.
"Morning Gee." I heard a voice speak up from behind me. I turned around, a bit quick might I add, only to see the familiar face of Mikey, my brother. "Morning.." I mumbled, pouring myself a cup of the freshly made coffee, leaving some for him. I groaned as I remembered my phone was upstairs, but walked up anyway to grab it. I unlocked the device and checked my notifications. Suddenly, a reminder popped up. 'Meeting with dude thing at hospital place thing.' Great wording, me. That made sense, right? Whatever. I finished my coffee, pulled on my leather jacket, and headed out the door. I decided on whether to take my Harley Davidson or my jeep. Eh, Harley's are better.
I hop on and start it, then zoom past the house and headed off to where ever the hell I'm supposed to go. Once I got there, I walked inside, to be greeted by a very nice lady whose name was Alice. "Hello Gerard. Welcome." She said, in almost a monotone voice. I nodded and asked where I was supposed to go. She told me to follow, and I did as told. We walked down the hall that was splashed with white paint. This Alice girl, she almost seemed.. robotic maybe. I ignored it and brushed away my thoughts as we reached a room with a slight dent in it. I decided not to question it, and walked into the room when Alice had opened the door. The door shut behind me, and I looked around. There was people, lots of people. Not too many. Maybe, twenty. "Hello Gerard, We've been expecting you." They all say in unision. I smile awkwardly and stand with my hands folding to my body. "Please, take a seat" A man at the far end said, directing me to the only empty seat. I sit down, and everything stays silent.
"We have been thinking about this for, quite some time now and we thought we should share it with you." A man on the far right of the room said, breaking the unbearable silence. Why me? I'm no one special. "We thought we might be able to send you, to a place. A place far, far away from here. But do not worry. You won't be there for long. Is that alright with you?" A lady added on. "Uh why? How long?" I questioned, still confused on why they chose me. "A month at the most." I nodded. Well, I was going no where in life anyway. Might as well. "Alright, sure." But as soon as the words fell from my lips, I was yanked up by two men, and thrown into a different room. Before I could fully process what was going on, I was picked back up and thrown onto a plane.
I was pushed down into a seat, and was strapped there. What the fuck did I just agree to..
