Not too long after they had concluded their conversation, Austin had shouted over towards Skye to ask him a question in relation to the group's current discussion, which ended up getting himself and Ros engrossed in the topic at hand for another hour. The night had continued past 1am, Duran eventually getting another round of drinks for the entire group as the club didn't close until 4am. By 2am, Skye was drunk once again, but in a happier and enjoyable manner. He was now on the dance floor with Austin and Jess, moving around to a song they were all familiar with.
"Are they going to be alright to get home?" Daniel asked as he sat with Ros and Duran, gesturing over to not just Skye, Jess, and Austin, but also his other two friend's Charlie and Emil who had joined them in dancing as well.
"I'll make sure they get home safely. We can always call them a cab." Duran replied after taking a sip of a drink. "You should be more worried about the 2 you came in with."
"Charlie is going to fall on his ass again. I'm not carrying him this time around." Daniel joked, glancing over towards Ros who just softly laughed.
"Well, you might have to, since Ros is going to have his hands full with Skye." Duran spoke with a smirk, looking over towards his friend as he did so.
"What do you mean?" Ros asked, puzzled as he took quick sip of his own drink afterwards.
"You mean you aren't taking him home?" Duran asked, shocked, while Daniel just rolled his eyes and took a drink of his beer.
"Why would I do that, Duran? We just barely started dating." Ros responded, a frown on his face.
"Well, apparently, you're pursing a relationship with him, so figured that was the next step." Duran answered, eyeing Ros carefully as he continued his drink.
"...Jealousy does not look good on you, Duran." Ros answered flatly, only to hear Daniel laugh loudly and Duran slightly choke on his drink.
"I'm not jealous!" Duran shouted with a cough, placing his drink down. "I'm just saying, I heard you two talking earlier and that's what you said. Hell, Skye even agreed to it."
"That doesn't mean I'm going to immediately sleep with him. I don't want to just fuck him; I quite like him." Ros answered bluntly, a bit annoyed.
"I mean, clearly that's what Duran wants to do with you... and has wanted to for a damn decade." Daniel joked, only to see Duran flip him off with his middle finger.
"Fuck you, Daniel." Duran shot back, before looking over to Ros. "Look, this is the first in a long time that I've seen you want to be in a relationship with someone, and you barely know him. His little temper tantrum was a bit rude and killed the vibe, until his friend was kind enough to mellow him out. I mean, you're busy with work and studying. You sure you have the time for someone like that right now?"
"I don't think you should be asking me about these things when I've literally seen you flirting with Austin the entire damn night." Ros rebutted quickly, taking another drink from his glass afterwards as he heard Daniel laugh loudly once again.
Duran's eyes widened at the statement, at a loss for words as his face was starting to show a bit of red tint on his cheeks. "I-I have not!"
"God, I have missed this banter between you two. We gotta meet more often than this." Daniel said between laughs as he watched his friends interact.
"Ros, I care about you... aside from the fact that I totally would have you if you just gave the word..." Duran lightly joked, only to see Ros squint at him in irritation. "On a serious note, I also know your... history of relationships and I'm just... protective. I know I shouldn't be anymore, but I can't help it."
Ros softened his expression as a small smile came to his face. "I'm fine, Duran. The last break-up was mutual. It wouldn't have lasted considering what I wanted to do. And... we don't need to bring up the previous one." Ros stated with a sigh. "Besides, like you said, it's been some time. What's wrong with trying again?"
Duran bit his lip in a manner of uneasiness, before letting out a deep sigh. "Fine... I guess I'll let someone else steal your heart once again in front me." He spoke in a fake agonizing manner, only to hear Ros snicker slightly and Daniel groan in annoyance. He looked over towards Daniel at that noise. "Where is your wife? Shouldn't she come and take you home?"
"Alicia is enjoying her time back home in Boston away from me, and having a girl's weekend, thanks." Daniel smirked. "But about Austin, though..."
"Shut up, Daniel." Duran shot back quickly before taking another sip of his drink. "Besides, he's a bit too busy flirting with Emil right now." He mentioned as they looked over to see Austin dancing rather close with Emil while a song called "Easy Lover" by Ellie Goulding was playing.
"What an appropriate song for you right now, Duran. You fall for the ones that are horribly flirty, just like you." Daniel teased with a grin, only to see Duran glare are him in return.
Ros was a bit too busy observing Skye who was dancing with Jess and Charlie in a friendly fashion, enjoying himself. A small smile slowly appeared as he watched Skye in silence.
