As the group was retreating from the club, they stood outside as the crowd began to exit around 3:30am, Duran walking them out to the street.
"So, what's the plan for later this morning? Are we doing brunch or what?" Daniel asked, looking down at his phone at the time. "It's looking like more of a Noon meetup time at this point."
"What time are you guys heading back up to Boston?" Duran asked, his hands resting in his pockets.
"Probably around 3pm or so. Hit I-95 and should get home around midnight. Knowing these two slackers, I'm going to be the one driving." Daniel stated with a grumble, looking over towards Emil and Charlie who were incredibly drunk and singing along with both Skye and Jess who were giving a rather sloppy rendition of "Stay the Night" by Zedd and Hayley Williams.
"Yeah... that seems more likely." Ros stated with a small laugh. "We doing F.F's near GWU like always?"
"Yep. I'll make sure to put a reservation in before I go to sleep." Daniel stated, beginning to walk towards the curb.
"Why? You know I'm friends with the manager there. She'll get us a table for our group if I text her before we show up." Duran stated passively.
"Ah yes, I often forget you have so many connections here." Daniel teased.
"Should tell her to make sure she doesn't let you in." Duran shot back with a smirk, as he and Ros followed Daniel towards the meetup points for cab drivers.
"Thanks for calling the cab, Duran. I really appreciate it, considering I must wrangle these two." Austin stated tiredly, as he saw them approach.
"Of course, querido. The least I could do to make sure you all get home safely. I hope you enjoyed your evening."
"I really did, thanks so much!" Austin chimed happily, also looking over to Ros as he did so. "Same to you for getting us access."
"Not a problem at all." Ros stated with a warm smile.
"You have to come to brunch with us tomorrow!" Emil shouted towards Jess and Skye, still drunk as he did so.
"Brunch? You guys are doing brunch?" Jess asked, looking at Charlie, yet she stumbled as she did so, only for Charlie to hang on to her in a sloppy fashion, as he was just as drunk.
"Hell yeah! We do it every time we visit. Ros is great. He's the best. He takes care of us every time we visit." Charlie replied, his Boston accent coming out in full force. "You gotta come. F.F's is the best."
"F.F's?" Jess asked as she tried to focus her vision on Charlie, but it was quite useless in this state.
"Ah, Founding Farmers. We go to the one near GWU. You guys are more than welcome to join us." Ros stated towards Austin, as he was clearly the sober one.
"Are you sure? I wouldn't want us to impose on your tradition." Austin stated, as he saw Duran wave down 2 cab drivers.
"Not at all, it will probably make our routine gathering a bit more fun." Ros replied with a reassuring smile.
"Besides, I need to get to know you more..." Duran quietly spoke near Austin's ear, only to see Austin turn towards him with a playful smirk.
"Bold... but I'll accept the invite." Austin stated. "We have nothing else to do anyway. I'll make sure we get there. Give me your info."
"Aggressive... I like it." Duran flirted back, pulling out his phone to exchange information with Austin as Daniel tried to get Emil and Charlie into a cab, and Ros did the same with another for Jess and Skye.
"See you tomorrow!" Charlie and Emil loudly shouted as Daniel shoved them into the car.
"Bye bye! See you then!" Jess drunkenly waved as Ros carefully sat her down in the backseat of the cab.
"Ok, Skye, let's get you inside so you can get home." Ros spoke softly as he lightly grabbed Skye's shoulders to carefully lead him towards the cab.
"You should come home with me..." Skye spoke drunkenly in a mumbled manner as he was escorted towards the cab.
"Ah, I'm sure you don't mean that, because you are drunk." Ros stated with a laugh, pretty much ignoring it.
Suddenly, Skye stopped dead in his tracks, causing Ros to run into the back of him unexpectedly. "Rude..." Skye stated firmly, before turning around fully and grabbing Ros' face in both hands, placing a kiss on his lips without any warning.
Ros stood there, frozen in shock, his eyes wide as he stared back at Skye, whose eyes were tightly closed shut as he pressed their lips together in a gentle, but intimate fashion.
"Oh shit!" Austin stated quickly as he ran over, grabbed Skye from Ros and pushed him into the cab. "Ok, so, gonna take their drunk asses home now! See you tomorrow!" Austin spoke quickly before jumping into the cab and shutting the door.
Ros stood there staring at them as they drove off, unable to speak after what just transpired.
"Yeah... you sure you can handle that, Ros?" Duran asked with a grin as he stood next to his friend, watching them drive off as well.
Ros didn't even bother to speak, at a complete loss for words, before his right hand lifted to touch his lips gently, not helping but to eventually show a small smile at the turn of events.
