The Russo house was filled with loud giggling and laughing. The youngest children and the only princesses of the Russo family were running everywhere trying to escape their older brothers who were trying to catch them.
The Russo princesses were the most loved and protected girls in the whole world and the Russo family was also happier than ever after the twins' birth. This caused envy in many but knowing the power the Russo family held, they didn't do anything and just watched from a distance.
But one of them had a plan, a plan to destroy the Russo family completely and get their revenge on them. The princesses were the heart of the family, so it was clear to anyone that without the princesses, the Russos would break. The Russo family was a very well known family worldwide whether it be because of their extensive businesses in the legal world or them being the American mafia in the underworld. So, naturally they had a lot of enemies. Enemies who would do anything to bring the family down.
It was the 2nd birthday of the Russo princesses and the whole Russo household was in chaos planning for the big party they were holding in celebration of the twins' birthday.
Meanwhile, upstairs in the twins' room , the twins and Lorenzo were playing together with the older twins , aka Xander and Xavier. As Alessandro made his way upstairs to tell everyone to start getting ready, he came across the most beautiful sight that made his heart melt. The older twins along with Lorenzo were tickling the girls and everyone was laughing continuously.
Alessandro only wished for one thing after seeing the sight in front of him and that was to let this family be as happy as they are right now and to not face any more problems.
'if only he knew this was the last time he was seeing this sight of everyone laughing and their happiness would be gone by night'
After telling his wife to get the girls ready, he started dressing Lorenzo and the older twins as they were still young.
Meanwhile, Isabella was dressing the twins in similar dresses she bought. After they were ready, she couldn't help but thank god for the beautiful family she got and for her amazing daughters and sons.
'if only she knew that this was the last time she was seeing her family happy'
Giovanni, Luciano and Dante too entered the girls' room completely dressed and complimented the girls for how beautiful they were looking. Just as they were done complimenting, their father entered with the rest of the boys. Seeing his princesses in front of him looking beautiful, he too complimented them. Finally everyone made their way downstairs where the party was held.
Everyone had an amazing time at the party and the girls enjoyed the most. After the party finished, everyone left and only the family members were left. Bidding goodnight to each other, they made their way towards their respective rooms utterly exhausted.
Tucking the girls in the bed and kissing them on their forehead, Alessandro too made his way towards his room.
In the middle of the night, a commotion was heard. Thinking of it as some kind of danger, Alessandro got his gun out and Isabella ran towards the girls' room to make sure they were safe. Alessandro was just checking the house thoroughly when he heard a loud scream from his wife.
He all but ran towards the girls' room knowing she was there. There he saw his wife, knelt on the floor crying her heart out. Not knowing what happened, he immediately took her in his arms and asked her what was wrong.
"T-They are g-gone A-Ales" she stuttered sobbing loudly.
"Who are you talking about Bella?" he questioned her.
"T-The t-twins" she cried.
Alessandro ran towards the girls' bed thinking of it as a prank or a joke. But alas, it was no joke, they were really gone. Pacing here and there and shouting on his phone telling his men to check the area for his girls' he was panicking. Isabella then showed him a note she found by the bedside table. He quickly read it and was boiling in anger.
'Dear Russos,
I am taking your happiness, aka your daughters away. Think of it as a mafia rivalry Alessandro. Don't try to find me or the twins, you won't be able to.

Your enemy.'
By now all the boys had also come into the room , hearing the commotion. When they heard what happened, they all couldn't help but cry for their loss.
And just like that the happiest day of their life turned out to be their worst nightmare.
