First person point of view

A dream..? Where—

I lazily open my eyes as exhaustion filled me, breathing heavily as I stood still unconsciously. Lifting my head up, saw an old lady with bunch of kids who seemed to be extremely excited for something. What are they waiting at? Curiousness controlled my head and forced me to walked towards the crowd.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to hear what's going on, I thought and went to the crowd that I was curious about. The voices was getting slightly louder the moment I walked into their place.

"Hello children, welcome back.. would you like to hear The Tale of Yang & Yue?" The old lady said as she gently sat down on her rocking chair. "What is that ma'am?" The old lady chuckled lightly.

The tale of Yang & Yue.. that title is very familiar, someone had told me this tale before. Just who is it, it might be the lady from my.. hallucinations? I began to feel frustrated again–

The old lady cut my thoughts off by her long exhale, she smiled brightly. "The tale of Yang & Yue is originally from liyue. It's a well-known tale." She said before she tells the tale..

"Once, a dim night. A lifeless little girl sat on a rock, her eyes locked on the bright full moon. As a tune rings on her ears, and finds a young boy who sat next to her.

A flute that is on his mouth, playing for an hour. Yet, he did not feel a hint of exhaustion. He often play melodies for hours, as flowers bloom at his melody.

Yue, the light of the dim little girl's life. Who was bright as the sun, his words are careful and delicate. His melody elegant as ever, had made the girl fall in love for his tunes.

Yang, the girl who had a gloomy life. Who was mysterious as the moon, her words deep as a wound. Her speed quick as ever, had made the boy lost her in his sight.

She hid behind the tall tree, whilst Yue stayed on his place. The boy sighed, and spoke. "Oh Yang, the moon is beautiful isn't it?" The boy smiled as he admire the sight of the moon.

Yet, silence filled the atmosphere. Yue took out his lyre, and plucked the strings carefully. Playfully swayed his legs as he plays a tune. He spoke once again,

"Yang, would you like to hear my melody?" He plays a tune whilst he asked the girl, Yang did not want to speak to him. Yet, she did.

". . . I'd like to hear them." She said, as her body relaxes against the tree. "I might show myself again." She spoke, and the boy's eyes slightly glistened as he heard those words.

Yue nodded and began to play his melody as he cleared his throat. The girl waits for his elegant performance patiently.

"Falling in love with love again
Romance is ours on a day like this.
Strolling along down 'memory' lane
Floating on waves of fanciful bliss.

Evening is here, we sing love's old song
As gleaming stars cluster above...
Leaving are we for a new honeymoon
Believing in 'second time love'.."
