A lesson learned

Y/n couldn't believe what the headmage said to them when the group entered into the Mirror Chamber. She stared at him with a expression of disbelief mixed with anger.

"Pardon?! You're telling me you actually went to the Dwarfs' Mine in search of a magestone?" The bird man asked while putting one of his hands over his mouth.

'So this bird really thought that we weren't going to get the magestone! The audacity!'

"Uh...? Yes?" The other three said in unison, using the single braincell that they shared together.

"I didn't expect that you'd seriously do it. And never in my wildest imaginings did I think you would actually return with a magestone!" Crowley sighed and made a thinking pose. "And here I spent all evening preparing your expulsion documents."

The three troublemakers' faces changed for one of disbelief alongside Y/n. "Are you serious?! While Y/n and we were fightin' some crazy monster and ghosts for you, you were expelling us?!" Grim yelled at Crowley while pointing his index finger to him.

"'Monster' and 'ghosts'...?" Crowley said looking surprised for a moment before thinking to himself. Y/n stared at him with furrowed eyebrows as she observed his expression.

'He didn't know that there was a monster and ghosts?'

"Yeah. There was a monster, all right.
A big, nasty one. It nearly killed us. And there was a bunch of ghosts too!" Ace explained and shivered remembering what happened in the Dwarfs' Mine.

"Would you kindly relate this story in full?" The bird man said and motioned them to walk with him towards his office.

"Hmmm. So a mysterious monster was living in the mines. And Y/n defeated it while the three of you worked together to fight a bunch of ghosts, and then brought the monster's magestone back to me?" Crowley summarize everything they told him with surprise written all over his face.

"I don't know that I'd call it 'working together'." Ace murmured under his breath annoyed and gave Deuce a glare before turning his attention back to Crowley.

"It was more like we just happened to share the same goal at the same time..." The blue haired nodded, also giving Ace a glare.

Crowley stayed quiet for some minutes before he start sobbing, catching Y/n and the others off guard. "Oh, gracious... Ohhh... Ohhhhhhhh! *Sobbing*" The nymph had a disgusted face.

'Has this guy finally gone crazy?'

"What is this guy's deal?! Burstin' into tears in public? At this age?!" Grim asked, also with a disgusted face on.

When the headmage finally calmed down, he stared at the group with awe. "In all the decades I've worked at this school... The day has finally come when the students of Night Raven College have joined hands together to defeat a common foe!"

Y/n blinked some times, confused by his statement, from what she could understand the students there are so arrogant to the point that they didn't halp each other, she could be wrong but that's what she understood.

'Meh Poseidon is more arrogant and I have to deal with his arrogant ass everyday for 1262 years of marriage. Even now I don't know how I manage to deal with this...'

"Whoa! No! No way would I join hands with that guy!" Deuce shouted while pointing his index finger to Ace, who returned the gesture with a glare.
