A problem in the Cafeteria

"Mrrah! I've had it with these boring classes!" Grim yelled from Y/n's arms, making the nymph roll her eyes.

"If you do that you'll never become a great mage." She said that with a smirk, the cat 'hmpf'ed and shook his head. Y/n switched her smirk for a smile and laughed with his reaction and then they arrived at the cafeteria.

"Wooo! Lunchtime at last! Whoa! They got some good-lookin' grub!" Grim drooled over the food and had stars on his eyes. Y/n hummed and looked over the food too. "Look how fluffy those omelets are! Ooh, grilled chicken! And a bacon-and-egg tart!"

Ace's eyebrows twitched and he looked at Grim with narrowed eyes. "Shhh! Dude, inside voices! Where was this energy earlier today?" The cat ignored him and hopped down from Y/n's arms.

"Y/n, grab me the grilled chicken! There's only one left!" He pointed at the food with a grin on his face. "And an omelet too. And that jelly-filled bread. Just fill your whole tray with 'em!" He said and Y/n give him the food but when they were leaving, Grim was distracted and bumped into someone's leg. "Ow!"

"Hey! Watch where you're goin'! M-my carbonara! You broke the yolk!" A student that looked like a delinquent shouted at Grim. Y/n pursued her lips and sighed.

'Here we are getting in trouble again.'

"Whoa, that's messed up! Pokin' the egg is the best part! You better make this right, pal!" Another one said and pointed at the pasta that was on the floor.

"I'm gonna need that grilled chicken of yours as compensation." The first one said pointing to Grim's plate, the cat gulped and tried to hide his plate behind him.

"Myah?! No way! Hands off the bird, chump! I need my protein, because I am HUNGRY!" The cat screamed at the delinquent.

"Hey! That's no way to speak to an upperclassman! Catch me outside and I'll teach you some respect!"

Deuce, noticing where the situation was heading to, decided to come in. "Um, excuse me, sir, but it said in the handbook that fighting with magic was prohibited..."

"Fighting? You got it all wrong. This is just me helpin' an ignorant freshman know his place."

"Now, let's see just how many ways there are to skin a cat, heh!"

Y/n also decided to step in, wanting to just sit down and eat in peace, ahe looked at the three delinquents up and down with a judging look on her face. "Before you want to 'put someone in their place' try to at least get a more presentable in front of them."

Ace gasped and put one of his hands on his mouth, Deuce widened his eyes and Grim was nearly bursting in laugh. "pfftt-"

"W-what did you say?!" The leader yelled embarrassed. Y/n raised an eyebrow at him.

"I'm not repeating myself, you look like a slug, the same goes to your friends." She shrugged and tried to walk away but the delinquents blocked her way.

"where do you think you are going hmm?" The leader said and smirked. "You're going to pay for saying that to me!" He was about to grab her shoulder but stopped in the way and froze. "Huh?" It was like his mind was screaming to not touch her.

Y/n looked up at him and glared at him. The delinquent flinched when, for at least a second, he saw the silhouette of a tall man behind her that made he go backwards and gulp.

"What happened bro?" One of his friends asked but the leader shook his head at him and looked back at Y/n's group.

"Let's go now!" He said and walked away as fast as he could, his friends looked back at the other group confused but followed their friend anyway.
