Flashback:
It was a hot summer day at the park when I first met him. My mom dressed my sister and I in a pink flowery sundress which made us look more alike.
Faith was my older sister and I was her younger sister. Even though we are only two years apart from one another in age, we look like identical twins. Even our parents have a hard time comparing us from one another.
"Hope and Faith, come over here and take a picture of us!" screamed my obnoxious older brother, Grant. My 10 year old sister and I ran up to my brother. He wanted a picture with his new girlfriend, Ashley. Gosh, he changes girlfriend everyday even though he is only 14.
"OKAY, Grant! I will take the picture so stand by the playground," shouted Faith.
This is where my sister and I are very different. Even though we look so much alike, we never think or do the same thing. I would say she follows the rules and is shy while I am very impulsive and like to be free. I love her to death, but sometimes she can be really annoying.
While Faith was taking the picture, I wandered off in search for something to get me out of my boredom.
By the shady tree, there was a cute but handsome boy crying.
I walked up to him and asked, "Why are you crying?"
He just glared up at me and ignored me. How rude!
I shouted, "I asked you a question!"
He still ignored me.
I bugged him until he would reply back but he just kept on ignoring me.
How dare he ignore me when I was only trying to be friendly!I went over and tickled him which made him scream, "Don't touch me shorty!" Oh he did not just call me short. There were things I hate people calling me and one of them was shorty.
I jumped on top of him and started to bite his ear. I know I'm weird but he totally deserved it. I was biting and trying to hit him wherever possible while he was trying to get me off of him. He didn't try to hit me back which kind of surprised me. Almost all the guys his age were reckless and didn't care if they hit a girl.
While I was thinking that, he wrestled me down onto the grass and got me off of him. Psh, I totally let him do that...not...
Okay, he was strong even for a little dude. He looked like he was 10 years old like Faith. Well, that gives me more of a reason as to why I am not going to tell him I am only 8 years old.
He will probably call me short AGAIN.
"Hey, shorty!" he shouted. Ugh.
"I AM NOT SHORT"
"Yes u are"
"No I am not"
"Yes"
"No"
"Yes"
"NO"
"No" he said.
"YES" I screamed.
"So you admit you are short," he laughed while saying that. I just fell for that old trick.. ugh I already hate him.
"I was trying to help, but I am going to leave," I screamed.
He suddenly looked hurt and shouted, "Wait! I'm sorry. Can you stay?"
"Uhhh.. okay.."
"I was crying because my mom just left me saying she didn't want me and she only married my father because he was rich," he said while sighing.
Oh I was totally not expecting that. Those things only happen in Asian dramas..
"Oh that sucks.. uhm do you like ice cream?" I know, I know I suck at making others feel better! But who doesn't like ice cream?
He laughed and said, "You are very weird" Glad to know we are finally on the same page. He stood up and said, "Race you to the ice cream truck!" He ran off.
Oh he is so on. When food especially ice cream is on the line, I get scary.
I ran after him trying to pick up my speed.
We got our ice cream with him beating me in that running race.
Faith suddenly came up to me and shyly told me we have to go home now.
I looked at the boy next to me and said "Later dude, my family needs me." Isn't that how guys talk?
He looked at me funny and said, "Bye." He walked away buy suddenly, he turned around and smirked saying, "Shorty."
I tried to run after him to bite his ear again when Faith held onto my dress and wouldn't let go. I let her drag me, but the next time I see that boy I will pay back for calling me shorty again.
Faith asked, "Who is he?"
I replied, "Someone you do not want to know."
Suddenly, I realized we never introduced ourselves. Huh. Well we will probably never meet each other again.
End of flashback
Thinking back to it now, meeting him might have been the best and the worst thing that has ever happened to me.
