Chapter 8

Lucas, Lily, and I arrived at the cafe. In my opinion, cafes are supposed to be relaxing and small, but this cafe looked like a huge fancy restaurant. Gosh, rich people.

The waitress led us to a private room eyeing Lucas the whole way there. Ugh her outfit barely covered her cleavage and she was trying her best to show all of it off to Lucas.

I don't know why, but I was suddenly really mad and I pushed the waitress aside and glared at her.

She seemed surprised that I noticed which should have been obvious because Lily noticed it too.

Ugh. Slut.

I went over to Lucas and put my arm through his and put my hand on his chest. I smiled up at him and said sweetly, "Honey, don't you think we should buy other things for our wedding in a month?"

Lucas looked as though he wanted to laugh his head off, but did something that shocked me.

I thought he would push me aside and leave, but he pulled me closer by putting his arm around my waist.

He said, "Of course, anything for you darling." Then, he winked.

Oh my god. Can he get anymore handsome and charming?

Yes, yes he could.

Suddenly, his mouth came near my ear and he whispered, "Someone is jealous."

I just stared at him with my eyes wide open.

Oh, Hope. Say something.. "Uh do you sell ice cream here?" I asked the waitress. Yes, I am very random.

Lucas' eyes widened and suddenly looked at me as though he recognized me from somewhere. Hmm..

She replied yes and then started describing these fancy, probably expensive ice cream. I told her to get me the first one while we left towards our private room.

Lily ordered some sort of coffee while Lucas ordered a plain black coffee.. why am I not shocked.

When we arrived at the table, Lily sat at one side and she wanted to me sit next to her so I did. This made Lucas sit in front of me.

Great, I could admire his face more.

I have been getting butterflies in my stomach whenever he talked or even looked at me today.

Ugh. I'm supposed to hate him for even starting this arranged marriage.

Lily excused herself to the restroom which left Lucas and I alone together.

Oh great.

I wanted to say something so guess what I said?

"Do you like ice cream?"

Yup, I just asked that.

Lucas started laughing at me and I realized this was the first time he seemed to really laugh out loud. He looked even more handsome when he laughed.

I sighed at how I could admire someone so much with only meeting him for two days.

He finally stopped laughing and said, "You're really weird."

I glared at him and told him I was only trying to make a conversation.

Suddenly, he said, "Oh that's alright honey."

I went stiff and glared at him. Please don't bring it up!

He asked, "Why did you get all jealous with the waitress outside?"

I blushed and said, a little too loudly, "I DID NOT GET JEALOUS!"

"Yes you did."

"NO. I. DIDN'T."

"You're being childish just admit it."

"NO! You are childish! I am going to the restroom to find Lily. Bye." As I ran out of the room, I could hear him laughing.

Well at least I made him open up a bit, but I was not jealous!
