Amity Blight was nervously standing in the hallway, waiting for her mentor, Lilith Clawthorne, to arrive. She had spent days preparing for this presentation, and she wanted to make a good impression. As she paced back and forth, she repeated her opening lines over and over again, trying to memorize them perfectly.
Finally, Lilith arrived, and Amity's heart started racing. She took a deep breath and began her presentation. For the first few minutes, everything went smoothly. But then, in the middle of a sentence, Amity's mind went blank. She stumbled over her words, and suddenly, she found herself blurting out, "What do you think, Momma?"
Lilith's eyes widened in surprise, and she paused for a moment before answering. Amity's heart sank as she realized her mistake. She had been so nervous that she had accidentally called Lilith "Momma," a mistake she had made only once before, when she was a child.
However, to Amity's surprise, Lilith didn't scold her or make fun of her. Instead, she smiled and said, "Well, honey, I think we need to work on this a bit more, but I'm proud of you for trying. Let's take a break and come back to this later, okay?"
Amity was relieved and grateful for Lilith's kindness. She vowed to work harder and make Lilith even prouder in the future. And from that day forward, whenever she felt nervous or scared, she would remember that Lilith was there to support her, just like a mother.
