Sans introduces you to Grilby. Let's just say Grilby likes you more than the last human.
(Y/n)
Sans and I were talking while walking. We passed a few shops here and there, but we were making a straight bee-line to the place Sans enjoyed the most: Grilby's. I had heard a bit about the place, mainly that the food was great and the ketchup was the best drink there. Yeah, it was mostly from Sans. The weirdo.
Sans opened the door for me, jokingly bowing as I entered. I pretended to curtsey despite not being a girl. Not a boy either. I'm a human. Sans led me to some stools next to some sort of bar. I sat down, giggling as the short skeleton slightly struggled to get on the tall seat. "Har, har," he laughed sarcastically as he balanced himself. "Alright. Grilbs is the guy that runs this place so be respectful," Sans stated in a matter-of-factly voice. "Like paying my tab?" I smirked as Sans playfully glared. I turned my attention away from the punny skeleton when a bright light entered the place. A flame monster.
I guessed this was Grilby. He wore a classic, bar tender uniform and glasses (despite having no eyes, or ears). "Hello, Sans," he muttered. I noticed his glasses seemed to change expression as he glared at Sans. I snickered as my point was proven. Sans rolled his eyelights at me and greeted Grilby back in a more friendly manner. "Hey, Grilbs. This is y/n," he pointed to me lazily. Grilby turned to me. I swore I saw his flame grow for a second. "It's nice to meet you. What would you two like?" He greeted me quickly and immediately got to business. I didn't mind. He got his priorities straight.
Sans just asked for a bottle of ketchup. I got a simple order of fries. I ate as the two talked for a moment. I guessed they were pretty close. Sans is here all the time after all. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed the flame monster's fire flicker brightly before turning normal. Sans was smirking like he knew something. I held in a knowing sigh before taking out a small, pocket-sized sketchbook. Maybe I could finish something I had started earlier? I doodled away, my pencil running smooth lines against the paper. I had no idea that someone had been noticing. My tongue unconsciously stuck out the corner of my mouth as I focussed. In the end I got a fairly good sketch of Grilby. I smiled at the final product.
I set the small sketchbook down and noticed Grilby had been patiently waiting. I flushed for not noticing. "Oh-! Hey," I greeted. "Sorry if I didn't see you earlier. I was really focussed," I looked away shyly. Grilby chuckled. "It's no problem, y/n. So you're currently living at Sans and Papyrus'?" He payed close attention as he dried off a glass cup. "Until we can figure out how to break the barrier, yeah," I smiled softly. Grilby hummed. "Break the barrier, hm," he sighed. "Well, y/n, I wish you luck. You're probably the best human that's fallen down here. Looks-wise," Grilby stated honestly. His flame flickered brighter. I flushed. "Aw, that's sweet. Thanks Grilby. That's the nicest thing anyone's said to me down here," I chuckled. I payed for my fries and me and Grilby got talking. He asked me about my hobbies and I asked him about his. We kinda just...clicked. Sans was snoring away and drooling on the wooden island in the end. After about a couple hours Grilby decided it was probably time to close. I nodded and nudged Sans. He jolted awake and fell off his seat, which I laughed at. Grilby waved bye as me and a sleepy bonehead walked home. "So..." He glanced at me with a smirk. "So what?" I raised a brow. "How'd the date go with you and Grilbs?" I blushed. "It wasn't a date! We just talked and got along," I screeched, earning the attention of a few monsters walking home from their jobs. Sans snorted. "Yeah with all that getting along it might as well been," he teased me. "Shut up," I grumbled, crossing my arms.
"Grilb's finally gettin' some," he giggled. "Sans!" I gasped at his inappropriate comment.
