It had been two years since Samantha, Kiro, and James arrived at Alexandria. In that time, they had become integral members of the community, helping to fortify the walls, scavenge for supplies, and defend against the constant threat of walkers. They had also formed strong bonds with their fellow survivors, and had become like family to many of them.

But one day, a large group arrived at the gates of Alexandria. Samantha, Kiro, and James were among the first to greet them, and they quickly realized that this was no ordinary group. It was led by a man named Rick Grimes, who was accompanied by some of the toughest survivors they had ever seen.

There was Glenn Rhee, a former pizza delivery boy turned fierce fighter; Michonne, a samurai sword-wielding badass; Rosita, a skilled fighter and survivalist; Eugene Porter, a scientist with a knack for survival tactics; Sgt. Abraham Ford, a tough-as-nails former soldier; Carol Peletier, a survivor who had been through more than most could imagine; Rick's son Carl Grimes, a young boy who had seen more than his fair share of tragedy; Maggie Rhee, Glenn's wife and a tough-as-nails fighter in her own right; Tara, a former police officer with a heart of gold; and Daryl Dixon, a crossbow-wielding survivor with a mysterious past.

As they introduced themselves, James couldn't help but feel suspicious of the group. They had survived for years on their own, and had become used to relying only on themselves and their fellow Alexandrians. But Samantha and Kiro saw things differently. They saw the group as potential allies, and believed that they could learn from each other and work together to make Alexandria even stronger.

Over the coming weeks, the group settled in at Alexandria and began to work alongside the residents there. They shared stories of their past experiences, and everyone was impressed by their resilience and resourcefulness. Despite James' initial reservations, even he began to see the value in having the group around.

But then, one day, a large herd of walkers descended on Alexandria, threatening to overwhelm the community. The residents fought valiantly, but they were outnumbered and outgunned. Just when all seemed lost, the group led by Rick stepped up to the plate and fought off the walkers with a ferocity that took everyone by surprise.

In the aftermath of the battle, Samantha, Kiro, and James approached Rick and thanked him for his help. They realized that they had misjudged the group, and that they were all on the same side. Rick smiled and nodded, telling them that they were all in this together.

The conflict with the walkers had brought the residents of Alexandria closer together than ever before. They had fought side by side, relying on each other for support and protection. The arrival of Rick and his group had been a turning point, bringing new perspectives and experiences to the community.

As they all gathered in the town square to celebrate their victory, Samantha and James found themselves standing next to each other. They looked at each other, and in that moment, all the tension and uncertainty between them seemed to melt away.

"James," Samantha said, taking his hand in hers. "I'm sorry for everything that's happened between us. I know we've had our differences, but I'm grateful that we were able to fight together today."

James looked at her, and saw the sincerity in her eyes. "I'm sorry too, Samantha," he said. "I was wrong to be suspicious of Rick and his group. They've proven themselves to be valuable allies, and I'm glad we can work together."

Samantha smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. "I'm glad we can work together too," she said. And then, before she could think too much about it, she leaned in and kissed James.

It was a sweet, tender moment, and for a brief moment, the world seemed to fade away. When they pulled away, they looked at each other and smiled.

"I'm glad we're at peace," Samantha said.

"Me too," James replied.

As they turned to rejoin the celebration, Samantha noticed a sign hanging on the wall of one of the buildings. It read "Welcome to the Alexandria Safe Zone." It was a reminder of everything they had been through to get to this point, and of the bonds that had been formed along the way.

Together, they walked towards the sign, and Samantha put her arm around James' waist. As they stood there, looking at the sign, they knew that they were exactly where they were meant to be, surrounded by people who had become their family.

The end of one era had brought them to the beginning of a new one, and they were ready for whatever challenges lay ahead.
