Crash!

Gotta get away, gotta close the doors...

Running at the head of a small group of worker drones from a strangely charming notorious death monster, Uzi frantically tried to reload her railgun. Over and over the message of 'Reloading' flashed, and over and over she tested it.

Everything had gone to hell when the murder drone, N, showed up at his tower of corpses and had gone even deeper into hell when she'd blasted his head off. Through some devilry, he'd regrown it and seemed unaware of her worker-drone-ness until she was long gone. Or so she'd thought. Somehow, he'd discovered she was a worker drone and followed her back to the colony. And now he and his freaky-deeky 'x' face was chasing her and her father's mundane collection of door enthusiasts.

A panting drone ran up beside her. "Hey, Uzi! I just realized no one's said my name out loud before, so I'm just letting you know I'm-" But whatever his name was, Uzi never learned, because the murder drone sliced him in two, his red hot half-husks smoking behind her. She shuddered as she ran, pressing a button on her railgun again. A friendly green message popped up, letting her know the gun was recharged and ready to shoot. Finally. Only took my whole life.

She whirled on her heels and aimed... at nothing. The carnage was all that was left behind by the murderous robot. She sighed, relaxing a bit.

"Pretty nice hydraulics, huh?" Her father's voice rang in her ears. Aw, crap. "What-what have you done?" Horror lit his gaze. Uzi didn't get a chance to reply before N crashed between her father and her, knocking both of them back.

Uzi was on her feet in an instant. "This time, I won't miss!" She yells at N. He paced towards her father, form tense. As many grievances as she held with her father, she didn't want him to die at the murder drone's claws. Surprisingly, N turned his head back to look at her, with a sad chuckle. One of his eyes was normal, almost repentant, while the other remained as a chilling 'x'.

"I'm sorry. I really enjoyed our time together. But I can't have you shooting V with that thing." He said, his voice low and genuine.

Infuriated, Uzi shrieked, "Bite me!" She aimed her railgun at N. "Dad, get down!"

Her dad stupidly stared at her in disbelief. "Uzi, you led a murder drone here?! My beautiful doors!" Ugh, does he ever think of anything other than doors?! Even the murder drone, N, looked over at Khan in disbelief.

"Now is so not the time!" She yelled at him. "I messed up, in the same way I'm about to fix it! Move, dad!"

Suddenly the drone made a move. In a flash, one of the blades that made up his wings shot out and cut straight through Uzi's upper arm. Blinding pain shot through her, her vision going blurry as she choked up oil. She didn't get a chance to recover before the drone knocked the railgun out of her hands. It clanked across the metal ground and came to a stop just before reaching her father.

"Dad, point and shoot. Trust me," I beg him, as the drone mercifully stops, staring Uzi down with his yellow 'x' face, drool dripping from his fangs.

Khan stared at the gun, eyes wide. Uzi watched as he looked down at the gun in horror before turning to look back at her.

Her heart broke as her father, shaking, shot her a remorseful glance and took a few pitiful steps back before pressing a button on the small black remote in his hand. The huge door crashed down, shaking the gun.

She knew her father was concerned at her obsession with murdering the murder drones, but she didn't realize that he would just... abandon her. Her fingers, which were grasped around the blade above her shoulder, loosened and fell to her side as she stared at the place where he father had just been. Red warning lights and a loud alarm started blaring, but Uzi didn't hear them. I can't- why- wow.
