"Get back here right now, Amaya!" the nanny yelled angrily and began to run after her. "Nope!" the little brown haired girl yelled back laughing as she ran as well. She didn't want to stop. Why did she have to be locked up in an orphanage in the first place? She had always been a good girl. But that mattered no longer now.
"Don't lock me up in that room! I want to be free!" she called out again to convince the nanny to let her go.
"You are not going to be locked up you little brat!" the woman replied and became slower and slower because her stamina was decreasing. Good for Amaya though.
After the nanny stopped following her, she hid behind a bush to see if she was safe. But what she saw surprised her a bit. A little boy with fuzzy squeaky red hair stood next to a tree and looked at his hands as if there was something exciting there. The little girl continued to watch him with interest.
Suddenly, small orange-red flames shot out of his hands, causing Amaya to flinch a bit. Fire has never been her field. It scared her, as beautiful as the little dancing flames might look. The boy could not keep the flames up for long, however, because he tensed in pain for a brief moment. In such a situation Amaya could not keep still. If something hurt someone, she wanted to help.
"Are you okay?" she asked the mysterious boy, who became frightened by the sudden noise. "Who the hell are you?" he said confusedly, seeing only the girl's head peeking over the green bush.
"I'm Amaya Ito, sorry that I scared you, it wasn't my intention." she answered with a bad conscience towards the red haired boy and crawled out from behind the bush.
"It's okay. I'm Touya Todoroki. Nice to meet you." he said, forgiving her. "Wow, Todoroki? Are you related to Endeavor or something?" she asked curiously, waiting for his answer.
"Yes, I'm his son!" he said proud of himself but looked a little glum about it. "That's incredible! You are really lucky to have the number two hero as a father." the girl said somewhat enviously. "Oh I'm not as lucky as you think." he meant a bit sad. "Why not?" she asked, looking confused at him.
"It's not that important right now, trust me." he said and Amaya understood that he didn't want to talk about it at the moment. "Alright. So your quirk is fire, am I right?" she asked to change the topic.
"Yes, exactly. It is almost the same as Endeavors but it is even more powerful. I hurt myself if I use it too much though... Besides what is your quirk?" this time he was the one who is curious.
"Oh me? I have no quirk... actually..." the brown haired girl replied ashamed, afraid of his reaction because someone like Touya should not bother with her. She was embarrassed that she was one of the few who did not have a special superpower. In the orphanage she had no friends because of this and was always bullied.
"It doesn't matter to me, so don't be hard on yourself. Sometimes I'd like to be quirkless too." he replied, causing her eyes to grow wide. "Are you kidding me? Why would someone like you want to be quirkless?" she said a little pissed cause she felt screwed.
"Hey! What do you mean by someone like me? I'm not much different than you." he said justifying himself. But these words echoed in Amaya's ears. She swore that she would never forget those words. She was not much different from the son of Endeavor himself, he said to her. That meant a lot to her.
"If you don't have a quirk, no one has expectations of you either. You don't have to prove that you are as good as the others." Touya continued, smiling at her. His smile was so honest and full of understanding that it awakened the will in Amaya never to leave him.
"So what I'm trying to say is that it isn't that bad to be quirkless. Besides I bet you have many other cool talents." he ended his speech, getting flustered as he realised what he just said.
"Thank you." were the only words Amaya could say to express her feelings.
"You're welcome. It's not that big of a deal." he replied automatically and blushed a bit. He thought it was cute how the little brown haired girl with the dark red, almost black eyes smiled admiringly at him.
"What are you doing here though? Going for a walk or something?" Amaya wanted to know further. "No, this is the Sekoto Mountain, in case you haven't noticed. I often train here with my father, but today he didn't have time." he answered to her question.
Although the two wanted to continue talking, they were interrupted by loud shouting. "If you don't come here right now, you're really going to get locked up you spoiled brat!" The nanny had returned and had almost reached the two confused looking children.
"Is she talking about you?" said the now even more confused looking Touya.
"Umm... yes? I think so..." Amaya turned red because she was very embarrassed that her new friend had to see this.
"But I don't get it. I mean what have you done?" he smiled. He liked it when you break the rules and therefore waited excited for her answer.
"Well... How shall I explain? I ran away from the orphanage?" the little girl in front of him shrugged her shoulders to look innocent.
"I see, so you have to go. But let's meet here again tomorrow or something, alright?" he asked hopefully.
"Yes, definetly!" Amaya yelled while Touya watched her being dragged away by the nanny.
Amaya was very happy. She gained her first friend, who didn't bully her because she has no quirk. So she would not miss their next meeting in any case.

So this was the first part, I hope you liked it. As some of you know, I'm actually german so I'm writing this story to practise my English a bit. I know, the describtions are not very nice and it is just basic English but I'm trying my best to become better and better every chapter I write. Also please let me know, if you think that this part is too short, so I can do it better.
I wish you all a beautiful, sunny day!
