Chapter 2 | The reason I left you

(To all Hawks Simps: Please no hate, I like Hawks too but I think sometimes he's a little asshole so please don't be mad at me if he behaves a little "differently" in the story. Have fun ^^)

"Beep Beep Beep!" a beeping noise next to my ear jolted me awake. Sleepily, I opened my eyelids a crack, but decided to close them right away after being blinded by the light.

"Wait... what time is it?" I whispered tired to myself and propped myself up a bit to look at my alarm clock. It showed 9:47 am. "Oh fuck I'm way to late!" I shouted startled while I jumped up.

However, my circulatory system immediately spoke up, giving me a slight rotation worm (folks I was just about to say that her vision went black as I remembered that she is blind xD).

I really had to hurry now because the sports festival must have already begun and I didn't want to miss anything. Even if I don't like to admit it, Aizawa and his students were always close to my heart. Even though I mostly skipped class this year.... But we leave that aside.

After I got dressed and ready, I ran into my kitchen and made myself some toast. "Ah shit I forgot to change my bandage." I talked to myself again and went back to my bedroom and searched for my other bandages. "There you are!" I stated after I found the one I was looking for thanks to my ability to detect auras.

After completing this action as well, I took my bag, put my front door key in it and left the apartment.

Short time skip

I got off the train and walked towards the stadium where the sports festival is held. When I arrived, I ran through the entrance and tried to push my way through the crowd that was blocking all possible paths.

I had left the crowd behind and now had a clear path through the aisles inside the stadium, as there were few people there. Somehow I had to get to the teacher's lodge, even if I didn't know the exact way.

I walked next to a door, but it opened instantly before I could leave it behind. A man with golden blond short hair and bright yellow eyes appeared behind it. But I would never forget the ruby red wings that protruded from his back.

"I hope he doesn't see me..." I thought, watching how his aura reacts. But as unlucky as I was, it couldn't have come any other way. I ignored him and tried to walk past him unnoticed when his cold gaze turned to me.

"Hey Natsuki what are you doing here?" he asked and walked behind me, because I didn't stop to talk with him. And I have good reasons for this decision. "You know that this is my job, why are you asking so dumb?" I answered unimpressed without even reacting to the man next to me.

"I know I know, I just wanted to talk with you!" he said and smiled a bit. God how I hate him. "Please Hawks, do me the favor and fuck off." I uttered and tried to shake him off.

"But I didn't do anything! Why do you hate me?" he spoke and still didn't left me alone. Slowly I could no longer hold back my inner rage. "Oh please, stop pretending to be innocent and get out of my way. You know very well that you screwed up." I remembered him angrily.

"Yeah I know, but does that mean we can't talk? You know that I'm sorry." he said apologetically. "If you were really sorry, you would stop being so arrogant and stop imposing your ego on everyone. I can't stand that. And that's why I left you. So finally get over it, you're not a toddler. At least that is what I thought. So please excuse me now, I have to work unlike you." was my last reply, whereupon he stopped and finally let me go.

I ran up a few flights of stairs when I finally arrived at the teachers' lodge. "There you are Natsuki! We were worried about you." Nr. Thirteen said to me and offered me a free seat, which I gratefully accepted. "I'm sorry, I overslept and got a little delayed." I apologised and sat down next to All Might.

"What did I miss?" I asked him curiously. "The first challenge. It was an obstacle course, which Izuku won. The second one is still going on as you can see. Shoto's team has just taken the ten million points from Izuku's team." he explained to me and I nodded understanding.

I heard Present Mic making remarks and watched exitedly what was happening even though I only saw the outlines. "And the final minute we all have been waiting for!" Present Mic announced. I could feel the tension in the air rising rapidly. A few seconds later the audience started counting from ten to zero together with the voice hero. And then it was over.

Present Mic announced the teams that passed the second challenge. First place: Shoto Todoroki's team, second place: Katsuki Bakugo's team, third place: Hitoshi Shinso's team. I was surprised, that team Izuku wasn't one of them, when suddenly it came out that Fumikage had stolen an extra headband. "And fourth place is Izuku Midoriya's team!" Present Mic shouted a little bit too loud.

I noticed that All Might was extremely happy but I think it isn't a secret that they have a special relation or something. I mean it's waaay to obvoius.

After the second challenge there was a short break and I decided to go eat something. I may have had breakfast but I am a person who can always eat. And after the conversation with hawks i really needed something to cheer me up.

I had the idea to ask my best friend Mirko, if we want to eat something together because she told me she would also be here today. She reported back immediately and agreed to spend lunchtime together. 

 I went to the entrance of the stadium which we had set as the meeting point. I didn't have to waint long because after a short time I could see two rabbit ears peeking over the crowd. "Aaand? How are we doing today Natsuki?" she shouted as we fell into each other's arms.

We don't see each other that often because we live a bit further away from each other, so it's even nicer when we manage to meet. I first met her at 19 when I did an internship at her hero agency because Aizawa had forced me to do it to gain experience. 

"I'm fine and you?" I answered her question and asked a new one.

"I'm also fine. Besides that Hawks is a little bit annoying. But we both know that this isn't something new." she said and smiled. I always thought she has a beautiful smile.

"Yes, I know. Unfortunately I met him earlier. I was so close to forget how annoying he is but he had to remember me." I sighed and smiled also a bit as we began to walk to our favourite restaurant.

"He isn't easy. But let's change the topic. What did you do in the past weeks?" Mirko said to bring me to other thoughts.

"Well nothing special. But I think the 1A this year is very interesting..." I told her and she nodded. Soon we arrived at the restaurant and talked about this and that. The time passed so quickly that we almost came back too late.

"It was nice to see you again! We have to repeat that more often ya know?" Mirko said goodbye and with a last hug we went back to our seats when the third challenge began....
