Fate And Second Chances

The group of demigods, trained warriors, had been on a quest to seek out the goddess Hebe but their journey took an unexpected turn when they unknowingly invade the goddess on her most sacred day. Angered by their intrusion into her realm without a sacrifice, Hebe unleashed her wrath upon them, casting a curse that stripped them of their teenage memories and their adult forms turning them into children.

Ares only demigod daughter, Clarisse, now found herself a chubby-cheeked 9 year old, her spear wielding arm now clutching a red Teddy bear. Her body, once athletic and well fit, now soft and small. Clarisse let out a yell of surprise  and outrage as she looked down at herself. Her dog ears were less pointed now and softer like a pups, her tail felt shorter too! She felt around her mouth and realized her fangs were dull and tiny. Her hands went to her bull horns and she flinched at he sudden pain. Her horns were bearly poking out of her hair and were dull and incredibly sore.

Poseidon's once, moody 17 year old daughter, Hyacinthus was transformed into a curly-haired moody little girl, her sea-manipulating powers now waiting to free range. Her sword now a pen again. Her once, sharp, shark-like teeth smaller, her gums now irritated and sore. Her thin neck gills felt much more sensitive and her webbing between her fingers felt thinner. Her blue and green colored arm and shoulder scales were softer now and itchy. She couldn't feel her back but she could tell the tiger shark stripes along her back were probably lacking the dark gray blue they used to be now that she was a guppy again. She caught her reflection in a broken mirror. Her shoulder scales were lacking their Navy blue shade. Now a sky blue. Her shoulder scales not as teal as they used to be. They were more of a sea foam color. Her forehead and nose were still a dark Irridecent blue color but their usual white specs were hardly noticeable now.

She was officially a pup and now much more defenseless seeing as her scales wouldn't do much to hide her from bigger sea creatures now that they were practically neon bright.

Zeus's daughter, Thalia, was reduced to a  small pint sized 5 year old. Her hair short and spiky still but her skin smoothed and scarless. Her shield gone. Her gray and twany colored wings now think and short. Her claws were finer and dull. Thalia stomped around yelling out as Hebe laughed before her.

Will solace, Apollo's favourite son let out a loud moan rubbing his now sore head. His eyes looking over to his fellow demigods as he noticed their new appearance. Quickly he raced, almost tripping, over to a mirror and loudly gasped. He was small and tiny again! No! He had worked hard for that growth spurt!! All his hard veggie eating!! He was 7 again and still sun kissed and freckled as ever. He was much shorter and lacked the muscle he did 10 minutes ago. His face was more baby looking and softer, his snake fangs were noticeably thinner and his gums ached. Their poison probably more potent now too and his forked tongue looked seemingly the same. His scales along his arms were thinner and more dry now. He raced over to his younger sister, Dawn in panic to see what happened to her. He found her close to Hyacinthus. Her hair was choppy and her fox ears were smaller on her head and less pointy. Her fangs looked thinner and notably Dull. Her red and white tail was shorter and less furry.

He turned his attention to his boyfriend. Nico looked just like he rest of them did. Younger, smaller, children. He looked Tanner than he usually did. His eyes were still dark brown as was his hair. His hellhound ears had little to no fur and pointy. His k9 fangs dull  and blunt.

Startled by a sudden scream of confusion, the other demigod children scrambled to regain their composure. They leapt to their feet to investigate the source of the scream and found Euphoria, the daughter of Dionysus, who had regressed in age from 15 to approximately 10. Her hair had lengthened and her eyes had taken on a more intense shade of purple and she did NOT look pleased with the development. Her leopard ears were much more tiny and were mostly cover by her hair. The leopard spots on her forehead and nose were still black but were much more dull colored instead of the bold they used to be. Her fangs dull and bearly pointed. She looked at her reflection in disbelief. " What the event loving fuck! " Euphoria hissed out in a rage as she took in her reflection. " I just got my ears groomed! " she continues in a fit of anger. Hyacinthus scoffed from her spit on the ground. " You? I JUST got my scales shinned up and oiled! Do you know how long that takes? Not to mention the dryness! ughhh" Hyacinthus complained scratching at her dry scales.

Will frowned. " Stop that. Youll flake up and break out and scab and bleed! " Will chides in that " know it all " tone you'll hear doctors use.
" ughhh! Shut up Will! " Hyacinthus yelled out in frustration.

Euphoria's eyes were still wide with fear and confusion, her gaze darting between her new, smaller hands and her reflection in a nearby pool of water. "What's happened to me? To us?" she cried out, her voice shaking. "I dont know about you lot, but I felt this strange sensation, like my body was shrinking and changing!"

The other demigod children gathered around her, concern etched on their faces. Will reached out his smaller hand to the confused girl. "Euphoria, it's okay! We're all... um, younger now too!"

Hyacinthus, the curly-haired little girl, nodded in agreement. "Hebe's curse, we think. We were all affected."

Euphoria's eyes welled up with tears. "But why? I didn't do anything to deserve this! And what about my powers? I can't... I can't feel my connection to Daddy anymore!"

The group fell silent, unsure of how to comfort their friend or how to break the curse.

Hyacinthus frowned sniffing as she felt her powers. She mentally searched for his fathers connection. She could smell her fathers powers on her. Sea salt and salty sea breeze but she couldn't FEEL him. She's always been able to feel her father. Hyacinthus whimpers in distress.

" Hey Hy-Hy, it'll be okay! We'll fix this" Thalia promises bringing the younger child in for a hug as Hyacinthus cried softly.

" Yeah, CoCo puff, everything will be fine, we'll just get our parents to turn us back to our normal selves! " Nico reassured cheerfully. The demigods around him nodded all in agreement.

Normal selves........why was it so hard to remember  their normal selves? Their normal lives???

A loud amused laugh startled the demigods who all jumped. Hebe laughed in amusement as she looked at the now children demigods. " You all will remain like this. There is NO cure. At least not one without a sacrifice involved...... Besides where I'm sending you, I highly doubt you'll return to your adult selves..... " Hebe cackled childishly before throwing the demigods into a bright purple portal.
