Chapter 12: The Death of Captain Jack Sparrow

Marty, Gibbs, Cotton, and Cotton's parrot all emerged from where they landed from the explosion and looked out onto the railing.

"Did we kill it?" Marty asked.

"No. Just made it angry. We're not out of this yet." Gibbs turned to Jack. "Captain, orders!"

Jack scurried down the stairs. "Abandon ship. Into the longboat."

"Jack. The Pearl." Gibbs reminded him.

"She's only a ship, mate." Jack said sadly.

"He's right. We have to head for land." Elizabeth urged.

"It's a lot of open water." Pintel pointed out.

"It's a lot of water." Ragetti agreed.

"We have to try." Will encouraged. "We can get away as it takes down the Pearl."

Gibbs nodded in agreement. "Abandon ship. Abandon ship or abandon hope."

Gibbs, Will, Marty, and Cotton all got to work gathering what little supplies they still had, while Jack took one last look at his ship.

(Y/n) noticed him by the mast, and walked up behind him.

"Jack."

Jack turned to her. "Yes, love?"

*SMACK!*

(Y/n) swung her arm forward and slapped Jack harder then she had ever slapped him before.

Jack yelped in pain, and pressed his hand to his cheek.

"That, was for leaving us to deal with the Kraken."

Jack put his hand up to try and calm her "Okay, I know—."

(Y/n) didn't let him finish before she slapped him again on the other cheek. "That was for abandoning me, which was something you promised you'd never do."

Jack grunted and whimpered in pain as he stood up straight and tried once again to explain.

"(Y/n) please, I—."

She cut him off yet again by grabbing him by the coat and pressing her lips against his.

Jack tensed up a bit, expecting another attack. But once he registered that she was kissing him, he relaxed, and placed his hands on her hips and reciprocated.

(Y/n) pulled away and placed her hands on his cheeks. "And that's for coming back." She whispered.

Jack smiled, and stroked her jaw with his finger. "I'll always come back for you, darling." He told her.

"Really?" She asked, giving him a skeptical look.

Jack held up his compass and opened the lid. The arrow was pointing to her.

"I promise. You're what I want most in this world." Jack confessed.

(Y/n) looked at him with wide eyes. "I am?"
