Marinette was confused about what happened, but in one second, she had absolutely no memory of the past few years of her life, and the other, she was having glimpses and flashes of what she believed formed part of it.

She remembered meeting the girl who claimed to be her best friend. What was her name? Alya! Yeah, she met her in school one day. She was new, and Marinette befriended her right away. Nino, she always remembered. That silly DJ had been her friend since they were children. But if her flashes were correct, he was dating Alya.

What she was confused about was regarding the gorgeous blonde boy. Was he a model? Yes, Chloe's friend, her lifelong enemy.

She had a flash of her yelling at the boy. It seemed as if she hated his guts. So why was it that everyone claimed he was her boyfriend? Or worse, her fiance? Something was off! Was this a prank? No! It couldn't be, her parents would never lie to her, and his mother literally saved her life.

And who was the boy in the black mask? He looked like Adrien, but things were different with him. There was a connection. She was sure of it.

"Ahh!" The bluenette grunted. Her hands held onto her head as she felt as if it was being squeezed tightly. Nothing was making sense. What the hell had happened to her? Why won't anyone tell her?

"Sweetheart, are you okay?" Sabine asked, hearing her let out a grunt.

"Yes, no, I don't know," Marinette complained. Sabine pressed her lips together, not knowing what to say. It was not much you could say without revealing she was a superheroine with a kwami. Luckily, Marinette continued to speak before Sabine could think of anything.

"Maman, I am getting these flashes. They look like they were part of my past. I think," Marinette confessed. "But nothing makes sense. The boy you claim to be my fiance, I- I hated him. He is friends with Chloe. Why would I date him?" She questioned.

"Sweetheart, you hated him for like a day. He immediately stole your heart after. You were obsessed with him. You loved him very much, honey."

"I did?"

Sabine nodded in response. "You can still feel that, don't you, honey? I saw it in your eyes."

"I- I think- I don't know, maman. I thought I did, but I keep getting flashes of a guy with blue hair and another of a blonde with a mask."

Sabine bit her lip and picked up her phone to send a quick text as she spoke. "The one with blue hair is named Luka. He is your ex-boyfriend. You dated for a few weeks, attempting to get over Adrien. You broke up with him because you realized not only was it unfair to him, but you will always love Adrien. You guys are still good friends, though. He is caring and understanding. And you are also his band's designer."

Sabine then hesitated to continue. What could she say about Chat Noir? At that moment, her phone pinged with a message.

'ON MY WAY. TELL HER THE TRUTH.'

With that confirmation, Sabine let out a sigh of relief and spoke up.

"The other one, well, it's Adrien, honey. The mask was a part of your lives that is difficult to explain as I don't know much of it, but I am sure he can tell you all about it."

Marinette furrowed her brows. Her mother's explanations only filled her with even greater confusion. The masked boy was Adrien. The same Adrien that was her supposed fiance? And she dated a guy named Luka? What else was she missing?
