Chapter 14

~DARCY'S POV~

I woke up and got up. We were in New York. I will have my interview with the interviewer most of the time and President Obama for a little while. I was immediately sent in a limo in front of a huge building that said 'Studio A' I got to go to a separate room and I got to eat a fancy breakfast. Then, I was changed into this: [weheartit] They curled my hair and put on some light makeup. I looked into the huge mirror and twirled around. I look like a princess!

I was sent to a bright, open room with a nice looking lady with glasses. She said her name was Diane Sawyer. She talked to the camera about when and where I was kidnapped and said, "Here we have Darcy Styles herself." She smiled at me and I said, "Hi Diane." in my thick British accent. "So, take us back to that dreadful day. What went through your mind when you were kidnapped?" She asked me with emotion. "Well I was very excited. My favorite babysitter Danielle was going to take me to the park. We were playing catch when the ball rolled into the forest and she ran to go get it. I was waiting and I suddenly had a hand over my mouth. I was bloody terrified. I was trying to get away but I obviously couldn't because my kidnappers were strong." I said.

She gave me a very real sympathetic look and asked, "Did you get any injuries, did you have to do anything for your kidnappers?" I nodded and said, "They treated me okay I suppose compared to what other people have faced by kidnappers. I got clothes, but I had to work as a child maid basically. I had to clean everything until it was spotless. If I didn't then I would be hurt in some way. One of the kidnappers almost killed me. They were about to end me with a knife until one of the other guys stopped it because he knew that they wouldn't get any money if I was dead." Diane seemed shocked about it. "Do you think that if that other man hadn't walked in at that moment that you wouldn't be here right now?" She asked, wiping a few tears away. I nodded and said, "I don't think so, Diane. I would be gone for sure. My brother and sister, as well as my family and friends wouldn't like that very much. They'd be depressed."

She nodded and asked another question. "So you were in the hospital. What injuries did you get?" She asked. I thought for a second and said, "I was unconscious when they found me. I was immediately wheeled off to surgery and I had to have surgery on my leg. I had bandages everywhere and I had to have oxygen." A picture was shown of me hooked up and pale. Diane hugged me and said, "Now we have President Barack Obama here. He'll tell you about the law that he's passing." The President of the United States walked into the area and hugged me. "Darcy, we have been thinking all night about what we could do. In every single playground in the US and the UK, we will have cameras at parks. It's called Darcy's Law." He said, smiling. I smiled back and said, "Thank you, Mr. President!" He laughed and nodded. He walked out of the room and they stopped filming.

"You did wonderful Darcy! I just can't imagine what you were going through." Diane said. I nodded and said, "Thanks Diane!" She smiled and I changed into this: [polyvore] I was going to a lunch in the city, and then going for a little shopping spree. Mum came along. We walked on the street and saw it started snowing loads. We were going home tomorrow. Mum got a call and answered it. "Oh, that's alright." Mum said into the phone and hung up. "Mummy, who was it?" I asked. She smiled weakly and said, "The snow is getting worse and in a few hours it's going to turn into a snow storm. Our plane might not be able to leave for another 2-3 days." I giggled and said, "That's okay, mummy! We can get a few more clothes and have plenty of hot cocoa!" She laughed and held my hand as we walked into a cafe. We ate sandwiches and warm soup. It was good!

We bundled up and went to fancy shops and boitiques. When we finished, we had 8 bags. Four bags for both of us. We went back inside our hotel and got movies brought to our room. We watched Blades of Glory, Up, Nemo, The Help, and Harry Potter. We ordered room service and got smores and hot cocoa served to our rooms. It was fun to make them over a little fire. We both cuddled together with blankets and stuffed animals and watched movies for hours. We got chinese takeout ordered before the storm hit so we could just reheat it in the microwave. The people shouldn't be out in a blizzard just for us. We placed all the eggrolls, drinks, sweet and sour chicken, and Lo Mein in the fridge. The fortune cookies didn't need to be refridgerated! :)

I got changed into my new pajamas: [polyvore] I grabbed my blanket and we laid down until we got hungry. We ate the yummy food and watched the snow fall. It was pretty!
