Kyla and I got ready, we were gonna hangout at a festival and then get ready for the guys' game.
"I've seen videos of Aiden playing and he was awesome." I said.
"He is awesome. I'm so excited to see him." Kyla said.
"I'm so glad that you two are still together." I said.
"Me too. That thing with Spencer yesterday was really intense. You're scary dude." She said, laughing.
"I don't stand for disrespect." I said.
"You never have." She said.
I smiled.
I checked my phone and... Connor called me.
I called him back.
"Hey stranger!" Connor said.
"Hey Connor what's up?!" I asked.
"Not much. Just wanted to check in on you. How's NAU?" He asked.
"It's great! My article is one of the top articles in a few states, and basketball is going great." I said.
"I saw that game. Everyone here at ASU has." He said.
"No way you're in Arizona." I said.
"Yes ma'am." He said.
"We definitely need to catch up on time." I said.
"Of course. What're you up to for fall break?" He asked.
"I'm in New York right now visiting Aiden for his game against NAU." I said.
"Wow. Isn't Spencer going to NYU?" He asked.
"Yeah, but I don't care about him. We broke up. He cheated on me with some ugly girl from the NYU cheer team." I said.
"Fuck that dude." He said.
"Yeah. Anyways, I have to go. I'll see you later." I said.
I hung up, driving to the festival. Of course Spencer was there.
"He just showed up." Jordan said.
"It's okay." I said.
"We actually met someone from NAU. He's a cool guy. He said he's seen you around and that you're really pretty." Simone said.
"Really?" I asked.
"Yeah. He was checking out the school with his team. He's actually almost here." She said.
I nodded as the guy came. I recognized him. Cameron Diaz. He was a great football player. Very good looking.
"Hey Adriana." Cameron said.
"Hi!" I said.
"What're you doing here in New York?" He asked.
"Watching my brother play against our team." I said.
"Well who are you gonna be rooting for?" He asked.
"Well, is it bad if I rooted for both?" I asked.
"I'll only accept it if it's your brother. And because you're beautiful and that smile hypnotizes anyone." He said.
"You're too sweet." I said.
We started walking around the festival, watching some cool shows.
"So, how long you staying in New York for?" Cameron asked.
"Until tomorrow." I said.
"Yeah. We're staying at a hotel for tonight for the flight tomorrow." He said.
"Yeah same. I'm excited to go back to NAU. I miss it." I said.
"Me too. It starts to feel like home once you go other places." He said.
"You're absolutely right." I said.
"Weird question but do you have a boyfriend?" He asked.
"Not anymore. You see that guy with that girl? That's Spencer. Him and I dated all throughout our senior year of high school and he cheated on me a month of me being at NAU." I said.
"What a dick man." He said.
"Yeah. He plays on the NYU team too, he's always benched though." I said.
"Loser. That's what he deserves." He said.
"Yeah. Do you have a girlfriend?" I asked.
"No, my girlfriend Tessa cheated on me a few days ago. She actually goes here." He said.
"Spencer's dating a girl named Tessa." I said.
"That's why that girl looked so fricking familiar! Holy shit Adriana our exes have cheated on us with each other." He said.
"Oh my God that's crazy." I said.
"After the game, would you like to maybe go somewhere and hangout?" He asked.
"Cameron Diaz the football star is asking me out on a date?" I asked.
"Is that a bad thing?" He asked.
"Not at all. I just didn't expect you to go out with someone like me with how many girls are all over you." I said.
"You're not like those girls. You're special." He said.
"That's very sweet of you." I said.
"We gotta go get ready for the game!" Kyla said.
"I'll pick you up at 10?" Cameron asked.
"Of course." I said.
Cameron smiled, giving me a hug.
I walked away with Kyla.
"What was that about? Cameron Diaz the NAU football star?" Kyla asked.
"He asked me out on a date. We're going after the game." I said.
"OHH MY GOODNESS THIS IS SO EXCITING." She yelled.
"What's happening?" Aiden asked.
"I got asked out by Cameron." I said.
"Holy shit Adriana that's awesome!" He said.
I was really excited.
