It had been nearly two weeks since Aster was found in the trap that Thorn made. Thorn... Aster sighed. He loved her so much, but didn't know how to confess it to her. Does she like him back? He didn't know what she did when he hugged her, but she seemed very stiff. Maybe she hated it. Maybe she hated him. Aster knew she lay awake every night, because he did, he just pretended to be asleep. All he could do was think about her. He had to tell Thorn he loved her. And he was going to do it. Tonight, down at the lakeside.

"Hey, Thorn!" Aster caught up to the tanned piglin. It was sunset, and they were walking back to their camp. Thorn turned around, only to be swooped up into Aster's arms and lifted into the air. She screamed, gripping Aster's hoodie and hiding her face in his chest. Aster blushed, but continued. "Don't be afraid. Look around," He said. "I'm not going to let go of you." Thorn turned around to look, hiding her face from Aster. He still saw her face -she was very bad at hiding things- and his flying faltered slightly, but he kept hovering midair. "It's... beautiful. Like nothing I've ever seen before," Thorn whispered, keeping her eyes locked on the sunset. Aster leaned against a tree, eating the glossy cooked chicken Thorn had made. It was amazing, the most melt-in-your-mouth thing he'd ever tasted. But, he had to focus. It was time. As Thorn stood up and turned around, Aster blurted out- "Can I talk to you about something?" Thorn had said it too, it was like they were in sync. "Oh, no, wait-" "No, you go," "I-it's ok! It can definitely wait-"

"I love you."

Thorn stopped in her tracks and stared at Aster, her eyes shining a beautiful green-and-grey in the firelight. Aster pulled his hoodie over his head, tightening the cords so much it completely hid his face. After around two minutes, Aster was fairly certain that Thorn had gone back to the fire, and he lifted his hoodie off his face. Thorn was right there. Aster started to yell in surprise, but was cut off by a kiss. A KISS! Aster could feel his face turn every shade of red. Thorn pulled away. "That was my line." Aster stood, frozen to the spot, for at least five minutes, staring at Thorn as she realised what she did, turned red, and speed walked away back to the fire. She liked him back...
