Everyone got evacuated from the school. The incident caused them to dismiss both the students and teachers till further notice.
The kid, Tremond, was gently taken to a police car without any restraint, given his young age.
Everyone trembled as he walked passed. They saw him as a monster that had to be dealt with. Even his classmates and other students who had tried to bully him before hid away as they wondered whether he could have done the same to them, just as he did to the teacher.
He got into the police car, and they drove off.
Some minutes later, he had just left with the police when his mother received a call where she was, at her store.
She was packing up things bought by a customer when she heard her phone. As soon as she waved goodbye, she arrived at the counter where she picked it up.
She noticed five missed calls from Tremond's school principal. Another number was calling. She answered.
HER: Hello
???: Mrs Deaton, correct?
HER: Absolutely. How may I help you?
???: We're requesting your audience at the police station regarding your son's case immediately.
HER: Police station?
???: Yes, please, immediately.
"I'll be there in a moment," she said, in such a calm tone as she sank into her thoughts. She ended the phone call, which had a line in her throat. Immediately, she picked up her bag, and left as though she had nothing to worry about.
In less than 30 mins, she drove and arrived at the station, where she walked in and was interrupted by a seemingly mentally drained and frustrated man, Mr Drill.
"You seem quite at ease." He remarked. "They say our children are mirrors, reflecting images of what happens around them. Just like you, your son is so calm. "
"I'm a busy person. Do not waste my time." She replied with an overwhelming presence, and a piercing gaze that instantly made him feel inferior even though he was taller, broader and had a gun in his possession, as she walked passed.
In that instant, he tried to maintain his composure, but the fear in his eyes, and hesitation to move betrayed everything, as though he was lucky to have just survived a mother tiger who had come for her cub. Even though she spoke calmly, her words carried an overwhelming feeling,
"Lead the way."
Quietly, he led her straight to an area, where behind a glass was an interrogation room Tremond sat alone. At the corridor, she met with Mr John, and a new face 'Leonard Martins' who's an investigator from another city, known for his exemplary work, and was called to handle the case.
They're police officers with authority. This was literally their first time meeting, but the presence of the boy's mother brought upon an overwhelming feeling and a memory of something they had witnessed. Fear brought silence.
"What has he done that isn't the fault of someone else?" She questioned.
"What do you mean, mam?" John questioned even though he was afraid.
"Tremond could be easily irritated, but will never take action unless he's cornered. So I ask again, what is the problem?" She replied with a cold disdain, and instantly Leonard interfered.
"Pleasure to meet you, Mrs Deaton." He said. "If you continue to emit such overwhelm, I'm afraid the pillars of this station won't hold for long. Please calm down, and understand that this procedure must be followed."
"I'm listening." She said,
He continued.
"Your son here has murdered his teacher. His reasons are because he was beaten for disrupting the school environment even though he was innocent. However this is being looked at, it's still murder, and we do not know how to move on with this case, considering his young age. So I called to discuss, and interrogate this matter with you. Also, seeing that you're unshakened, I'm free to assume this isn't the first time committing murder?" He added, but as though he struck a nerve, the woman's presence only grew heavier.
