(Tremond's room)
It was 8:37 pm. All lights in the room were off, except for the TV reflection. Tremond lay facing it as he watched the performance of one of his favorite songs (dreams by the Pied Pipers).
Rain began to drizzle when he tiredly stood up to close the window, and slowly it poured heavily. He sat on his bed for a while, doing nothing, lost in thoughts. He raised his hands to see his bruised wrist. In a flash of anger, he reacted, "Tch!".
#FLASHBACK- when he returned home with his mum, after they left the station earlier.
They just arrived home and parked in front of the house.
"Go inside," Sarah said as she rested her head on the staring wheels. The weather was cloudy. He did as his mother instructed. He left. He entered the house, and saw his little sister lying on the floor. She had a small notebook she was writing with. Her name was Tessa Star Deaton.
With a smile, she says to her brother, as the door closes, "Welcome".
He left his bag on a hanger and approached her, smiling and asking, "What are you writing about today?"
She replied, "I'm writing a story."
The door opened, and they turned to look. Sarah entered, and asked Tessa to go to her room.
She knew something was wrong the moment Sarah asked her to leave, and immediately, she walked away without questioning.
“Come here.” Backing Tremond. Sarah demanded. She hung her bag. He took steps forward.
“What was that all about?” She asked. Calm in her voice, but her rage was unmistakable. Her eyes pierced his soul. He trembled.
Though Sarah was his mother. Fear etched his soul, he knew not to raise head. Right now, Sarah was no ordinary human.
“Speak!”
She raged, but before he could open his mouth to speak, a heavy slap reached him. He fell. The pain hadn't settled, she tightly gripped him by his wrist, and brought herself to his face.
“Let this mistake never repeat again.” In a calm rage, she spoke. Only then did she realise she had been gripping his wrist hard enough to cause pain, and at the sight of his endurance, she released him.
As a mother, she regretted her actions, but she knew deep down, it was the only way, and she'd do it again if it keeps him safe.
“Go to your room.” She ordered, and quietly, he left.
#CONTINUATION - TREMOND'S ROOM
He pulled out a band aid from his bed drawer and wrapped it around his arm before retiring to bed. Although it remained a mystery, but it was no longer a surprise to him he healed faster than other people.
The next day was Saturday, 8:23am. He came out to the living room, well dressed, to find his mum and sister already eating breakfast.
"Good morning", he greeted coldly as he walked past them, approaching the exit door. He had his scooter and his backpack.
"Where are you going?" In a cold manner, Sarah asked.
"To get new items", he replied coldly. Though turned to her, but his eyes never met hers.
Disappointed, she spoke her head, and asked him to sit down, as she prepared to serve him breakfast.
“You shouldn't leave the house.” she said as she served him. He remained quiet.
After a little while, she saw he hadn't touched his food. He only glared at it as though as he was served poison.
Sarah was at the sink, cleaning. She abandoned it, and came to sit with him. She picked a spoon, and fed herself from his plate.
