I'm back home. I have work in an hour and I'm definitely not mentally prepared for it. I hate work, it's just so stressful.

I get myself ready while I cry a little. Then I drive to the place I work. It's a restaurant, a pretty fancy one.

The thing is, everyone just treats you like shit when you serve them. Rich people are assholes. Most of the time.

The day goes by smoother than I thought it would. People are being fine and I haven't even dropped anything yet.

But then I see him, with his family. What the fuck is William doing here? This restaurant is almost three hours away from where he lives!

No no, I don't want to serve him. That's so awkward. He will know I'm just this average girl, having a job at a restaurant that is too fancy for her.

Too late. He has already seen me. Fuck.

"Ada! Do you work here?"

"Yeah" I say awkwardly. His parents are looking at me with a judgy look and his sister had a faint smile on her lips.

"That's really cool. Are you our waiter?"

"Yes. Would you guys want anything to drink?"

I take their drinks and tell them I'll be right back. When I get to the kitchen I'm very fucking stressed.

"Are you okay?" Cleo, one of the other waiter's asks me.

"There is this table with people I know. It's very awkward. Could we maybe switch tables?"

"Of course! If that makes you feel better."

"Thank you Cleo, I owe you."

Okay so now I just have to get throughout this shift without making eye contact with William. That'll be easy.

It goes well at first. He doesn't really notice me. Eventually I see him looking around. When he spots me he calls my name. Oh shit.

"Weren't you supposed to waiter us?"

Oh yeah I told him that. Think of something, a believable excuse.

"I was yeah but Cleo had a table she didn't want to do because she knew the family and she felt awkward so we switched."

Was that believable? I have no idea.

"When does your shift end?"

"At nine."

He just nods and since he doesn't say anything else I just go back to doing my job. A few minutes before nine I see William is still sitting there.

He walks towards me and I'm scared about what he is going to say.

"Go get your stuff. I want to take you somewhere."

I just nod and do as he tells me. I take my bag and say goodbye to my colleagues.

When I return he is alone, waiting for me. His family has already left. At least that is what it looks like.

"Ready?"

"Yes."

And with that I follow William to somewhere only he knows.
