chapter 2

We got ready and are currently walking to his friend's house. It's even bigger than the one Jasper lives in. What do you even do with such a big house?

"Come on, everything will be fine. If you're not feeling it we'll just go home alright?"

"Alright."

I love that Jasper could always tell how I was feeling with just looking at me. I think that truly defines a friendship.

We go inside and it's pretty dark with some music playing. Not loud music or anything. When we get to the living room there are loads of people. Jasper immediately finds Kit and does that little handshake boys always do with each other.

"Who might this be?"

"Well this is my best friend Ada. Forced her to come with me, I hope you don't mind."

"Of course I don't! Any friend of yours is mine. Nice to meet you Ada, do you wanna meet my girlfriend?"

I say yes hoping it's a sweet girl I can connect with. We walk through a hallway and arrive in another big room that is also pretty crowded. We stop at two girls who are talking to each other.

"Este and Rhea, this is Ada! She's with one of my friends but I thought it would be fun for her to meet you guys."

"Oh my god nice to meet you! I'm Este!"

I immediately feel a little more secure as I shake both of the girl's hands. As the night goes on I find out I have a lot in common with these girls. Rhea played in Heartstopper just like Kit which is cool. They are just genuinely very nice.

At some point of the night Jasper comes and takes me away to dance. It's good music so I actually vibe with him. Normally I just stand there while he dances wildly.

Suddenly someone catches my eye. He is with Kit smiling. He is very pretty. Suddenly he also looks at me. I look away, scared to hold any eye contact.

"Who is that guy?" I whisper into Jasper's ear. Of course he is not subtle and responds way too loud.

"That's Will! He also played in Heartstopper and is a musician. Cool guy."

The guy is now smiling at me. He definitely heard Jasper say that. When the song ends I drag him from the dance floor and tell him I wanna go. This is just very awkward.

"Wait Will is coming, you have to meet him."

Oh god, no. This is definitely not what I want. Yes, he is pretty. No, I do not want to meet him. He is very tall and intimidating.

"Who is this Jasper?"

"This is my best friend Ada. The one I told you about."

He looks at me and holds out his hand. I shake it looking anywhere but his eyes.

"I'm William. Nice to meet you."

"Adelaide, but most people call me Ada."

"Alright. Ada it is."

After this weird and awkward interaction Jasper and I say goodbye to everyone and leave. I cannot wait to just lay in bed and cuddle with Jas. Physical touch is my love language in friendships and relationships.

When I'm bed ready I check my phone for the last time and one notification catches my eye. Will Gao has sent you a following request.
