"So aagaye tum dono. I wanted to focus on the real estate deals and Kavya to start her phd. Instead now I get a gift in the mail that I was expecting much later,"Mandhira declared.

"No time like the present, Viraj quipped.

"Kavya, Ananya could use your support. The poor girl has been having panic attacks since she saw me address the gift you both sent me. Viraj I would like to talk to you in private ," she stated.

"Theek hai ma, main abhi aata hoon."

"I will go see Ananya. Waise mera bauth khayal rakta tha pelhe, ab meri baari ," Kavya assured him .

He side hugged her before giving her a look to let him know if anything was urgent.

She merely nodded before walking down the hallway.

Mandhira was pacing the room as her son approached her.

"Kya karnege zaroot thi? Abhi tumari aur Kavya ki shaadi huyi hai. Yeh sab baad mein hosakta tha."

" I made a promise to Shukla," he admiited.

"What exactly did you promise him?"

"Maharashtra," he replied.

Mandhira glared at her son in shock.

" You were willing to risk whatever we had left for that Shukla?"

"What if Pratap Suri had won? He would have taken everything from us anyway."

"You are not even a Trehan. Your decisions killed Dhanajay and my Jahaan can't even get what his due is because you are pretending to be the heir when you are not even Shamsher's blood," Lavanya Chachi stated.

Viraj and Mandhira turned to look at her in distain.

"Aap ki information galat hai chachi. Also chachaji was already gone when I met with Shukla. He dug his own grave."

" Jahaan was an excuse. You wanted to oust your chacha and you teamed up with Shukla," she declared.

"Yeh saach nahin hai Chachi," Kavya stated.

She stepped in and showed her the proof.

"Yeh baat bhi batau ki aap vajse Viraj bhai pe goli chali thi," Jahaan also appeared in the room.

"As for my biological father, it's Shamsher Trehan. I am sending you a copy of the report. Not that I need to justify myself to you. I was blaming my mother, but the real reason Kavya took that bullet for me was the confusion you stirred."

"Ek aur baat chachi, I think most of the family is happy Shanaya isn't here in my place," Kavya declared.

"Yes mom. If Shanaya was here instead of Kavya, we would not have this house or our name left,"Jahaan declared before leaving the room.

Lavanya realized her position in this house was comprised further now that the three of them knew her secrets and had seen beyond her plotting.

She would go underground until she could build a rapport with Jahaan again.

Viraj turned to Kavya.

" How is Ananya now?"

"She took her anti-anxiety medication. She is resting now."

" I was thinking once you complete your phd ,Kavya, you two should work to strengthen the Trehan name. We must also consider Jahaan's match with a good family when he is ready. I plan to work on maintaining Shamsher's legacy. But you all will have to do your parts,"Mandhira declared.

"What exactly did you want us to do ?," Viraj asked, already suspecting the answer.

"We will need heirs. I do not want to pressure you both yet. But please start thinking about it. Viraj you should consider taking Kavya for a proper honeymoon. When the time passes by, you will regret not spending quality time with each other. Shamsher and I thought we had forever," she reminisced.

Viraj put an assuring hand on his mother's shoulder.

"Jo aap chahti hai woh ek din pura hoga," he declared.

Kavya exchanged a look with Viraj. She was lost in thought for a moment before she left the room.

By the time he checked on his siblings and came into their bedroom, Kavya was emerging from the bathroom in yoga pants and a loose t-shirt.

She didn't look up at him.

She grabbed her laptop and started searching for something.

"Kavya tum theek ho?'

"Yes I am doing research. Tum jake fresh ho jao," she muttered.

He took off his shirt and threw it at her.

"Viraj!"

He held her close by her head.

"Trust me , I won't push you to have a child," he told her firmly.

" You have to cut back on smoking. It reduces fertility ," she quipped.

" Psychologist tum ho, but it seems like you are having anxiety ," he replied.

He traced her skin with the pads of his fingers.

He let her go suddenly.

She glared at him.

"Give me one year," she stated.

He turned to look at her.

"Diya," he promised.
