Incident

A few weeks later..

Kavya started back at her old practice but the plan was to eventually start on her own once she finished her PHD. She needed the clinical hours anyway. It would be a matter of a few weeks which were now almost over. It had been hectic. But maybe she needed the space away from everyone else. She had been swept up in one situation or the other since she met Viraj Trehan few months ago. She never expected her life to change so drastically.

She was just finishing up her last note when she heard a commotion outside by the clinic desk.

She quickly saved her last note, then headed out to see what the commotion was.

Kavya was quite surprised to see Shanaya Suri there holding a knife at the receptionist.

" Shanaya leave her alone. Tum yahaan kyun?"

Shanaya turned her gaze toward her.

She could tell there was rage in her expression, especially the look in her eyes.

"You took Viraj from me! Now you will have to pay!"

Before Kavya could talk her down, she lunged towards her with the knife.

The receptionist screamed but had the ability to call for help but in the intermin, Shanaya narrowly missed Kavya at first.

A struggle ensued. Kavya tried to get the knife away, but Shanaya pulled back and knife injured her wrist and forearm.

Shanaya stepped back and was going to stab her again this purposely.

Inspector Zain was in the area and he was able to intercept Shanaya from stabbing Kavya again.

He had someone bag the knife and they took Shanaya away in cuffs as she screamed bloody murder.

" Leker jao isse," he ordered.

He went to Kavya's side.

She was bleeding, but it didn't look like she would lose too much blood.

An ambulance was called and she was taken to the hospital.

Viraj had been in an meeting with Shukla.

When he got a missed call from Inspector Zain he was fuming and had to think of a snarky comment as he dialed him back.

"Kya hua Inspector, you got another arrest warrant on my head or something?"

"No Viraj, actually Shanaya Suri got bit a crazy. She ended up going to the clinic where .."

"Don't tell me where Kavya works. Is Kavya .."

"She got stabbed. Don't worry we are at City Hospital.."

Viraj ran his hand in his hair several times as he drove towards the hospital.

As soon as he heard stab , he already was running towards his car. He knew City hospital was closest to where Kavya's clinic was.

He took a deep breath when he saw Zain.

" I want that *** put away for a long time. Make it a high security facility," he yelled as he brushed past him and into Kavya's room.

"How is she sister,'" he asked the nurse as he saw Kavya was semi awake.

" Better. The doctor is reviewing her cbc report. Hopefully she didn't lose too much blood. I just given her a tetanus shot. Madam was not conscious enough to tell me last time she had one," she stated.

"That is fine. Thanks for your help," he replied.

He leaned in kissed her forehead and looked at her now bandaged arm.
