"Jaylen calm down," Amir spoke trying to console the boy in his state of panic as he wiped his tears.

His breathing was uneven from the way his chest was heaving up and down. His right leg was bouncing up and down with his hands resting above his head.

His actions reminded Amir of the time when he had asked him if he was selling weed, but this time his movements seemed to be more excessive.

It was starting to worry him.

"I-" Jaylen started to speak but paused bending over and placing his hands on his knees.

From the boy's erratic nature, Amir could tell that he was having a panic attack.

Yet he's never been in a situation like this before, so he didn't know what would be the best way for him to respond.

Out of instinct, he started walking up toward him. Gently lifting his head up in the process.

It was then that he noticed the bags under his eyes, looking as if he hadn't slept well in a while.

His face felt hot and in the corner of his eyes, he saw the tears that started to form dropping onto his soft cheeks.

The boy reached up to wipe his tears, letting his hands rest on his face.

"S-stop," he stuttered shoving his hands away embarrassed.

Realizing that he was crying, something that he never did alone and especially in front of someone else.

He immediately went to cover his face.

"Fuck," he huffed trying his best to slow his breathing down. He started counting in his head so that his breaths could match up with the numbers. A method that he used in situations like this.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐧𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤.

I feel like I'm not doing anything to help him. I don't know what to do. Should I give him his space and let him try and get himself situated? Amir asked himself.

Maybe he just needs time to get himself together.

But he's crying, how can I just sit here and watch him cry?

But he won't let me wipe his tears, He won't let me help him.

He argued with himself not knowing how to go about his current situation.
