Awakened

Ch 3

My hearts was racing as we approached the house. When we got inside I let out a silent whimper, "Who was that..." I knew whoever she was, she didn't like me and it was clear.

I had a feeling that I could trust her to tell her who I really am and why I'm here. "Follow me" I said and led her to my room. I told her to sit on my chair while I went to the wall in the corner. "What are you doing" Said Georgia curiously. I didn't answer. Instead, I whispered a few words under my breath and stepped back. There was a loud thud and the wall in front of me opened to reveal a safe. I took the key from my necklace and opened the lock. As I opened the squeaky door I realized Georgia was looking at me with pure wonder and shock. Inside was a big old, dusty book. I could see the disappointment on her face and I laughed. I closed all the doors and went to sit on the bed with the book. I took a deep breath and said 'First thing first, you should know that................... I'm not human"

My brain stopped. And I started to feel dizzy. "But...How?" Were the last words I managed before fainting from shock, awaking in Afriel's arms

She awoke in my arms. "Are you ready for round 2?" I Laughed

***

I smiled wonkily, "You've gotten better at speaking..." I exclaim, my voice hoarse. I sat up and clear my throat. "Tell me everything!"

"Okay, what I really am is a grigori. I was sent down to look over the Half blood when she awakens. A half blood is a person who's half human and half angel. If I'm correct your the half blood. The person you saw in the restaurant was a Hunter. They go after half bloods." Since you were able to see her, your aura deepened which means they put a target on you." I said very quickly in one breath. I was hoping she would believe me. It was actually encouraged to teach the awakened about the ways of the order and those of the Rebellion were killed.

My mind was spinning, but somehow I believed her. "I never knew I was... Half-Blood?"

"Me neither, your very........... different from what I expected, and 2 days from now you will awaken. You will discover your powers. But others think your dangerous so they hunt you. That was what that girl was" I said

"No wonder I got this weird feeling when she was around. It was like envy and hatred was just crawling off her and to me..." I murmur. "You promise this isn't just a dream?" I giggle silently and wait for an answer but none comes. My eyes shoot up and Afriel is already walking out the door saying "Come on, lets get some rest."

As soon as she left I let out a laugh. My Book, I forgot to tell her about her fate and destiny, oh well, she doesn't need to know yet. I went to sleep and tomorrow came within a blink. Today was monday. First day of school for the week. I went to my closet I picked out an outfit. I then went into the bathroom to take a shower and brush my teeth. once I was done I came out and put on my clothes. It was Autumn so the weather was quite cool. I was wearing a tight long sleeved black top, Black leather pants, black boots and a black Active Slimline Puffer Jacket. I then blow-dried my hair and put it into a high ponytail with a Style Guards Kink-Free Spirals black elastic band. Once I was done I got my Black mini backpack and went out of my room to make myself breakfast. It was still early around 6:50am. I decided to make a smoothie and avocado toast for breakfast. Once I was done Georgia woke up.

"You're up early for once!" I laughed and brushed a piece of hair behind my ear. I was wearing a mustard yellow crop top with high-waisted black jeans and black sandals with my hair let out in flowing locks and my leather bag. "Now I know why you are not so good in your subjects! I'll help you out!" I poke out my tongue at her and grab a muesli bar. "Ready?"

"Not Good in my subjects" I laughed "I know everything, I get A's" And we headed out the door to arrive at the college

When we arrived home we completed our homework, got changed into our PJ's and watched a few movies together. "I know I should've told you but...... The day I awaken is the day I turn 22nd..." I really hoped Afriel was going to scold me for not telling her sooner so she could buy a present. To be honest, Afriel didn't seem like that kinda girl.

"I know" Was All I said. I already got her a present

I stared at her shocked "So your psychic now too, huh!" I ask jokingly

"hahahah........... who says i'm not" I said a continued watching waiting for her reaction

I laugh. "Now you're just messing with me!" I chuckle and throw a pillow at her.

I was laughing to now. I was about to throw a pillow back at her until the doorbell rang. We both stopped laughing suddenly and I dropped my pillow. Who could it be at this hour?. "Don't open it" I said quietly. I had a bad feeling about this. Then we heard someone's voice. "When the clocks strikes twelve, when you awake. We will come after you, find you. We will hunt you down no matter what. Your little angel can't protect you forever" Said the voice. Then we heard footsteps walking away and Georgia looked at me.

Tears bubbled in my eyes. "You'll protect me... right..." I didn't want to move, speak, or do anything that would make me cry. Until suddenly I burst into tears. My anxiety kicked in and I started blubbering gibberish whilst pacing around, before collapsing to the ground in a fit of sobs and tears. "Why me!" Was all that was coming out of my mouth

"Of course" I said in sympathy. But I didn't tell her the next part. Their Hunters, They always find a way, no matter what.
