The car stopped at a gas station on the outskirts of town, and Jamie sneaked out of the trunk. River smoked by the fuel pumps while his abs shined with delicious sweat, reflecting the morning sun.

"Where are we going, big boy?" Jamie asked, stroking River's chest.

"There's a place in the woods called Elesk. We'll hide there until the situation calms down."

"Are there shops in that place? What about bakeries? I LOVE bakeries!"

"I don't know, I've never been there."

"Weird but alright." She shrugged and winked at a handsome man that pumped fuel in a car.

It was a young blonde boy with a thick butt Jamie wished to slap. But much to her distress, he was with a lady who was probably his girlfriend.

Jamie glared at the girlfriend and bared her teeth, threatening her with her fist. The lady returned to the car scared while Jamie followed her with her sharp eyes.

"Let's go." River got in the car.

"Why can't I sit on the passenger's seat?" Jamie scowled.

"That's reserved for him." River caressed Charlie, the head of the homeless man.

"Stupid head." Jamie slapped it, but her babe snatched her wrist.

"Don't do that, please."

Jamie hissed and hopped in the back seat, waving at the handsome man as they left the gas station.

River turned right and suddenly a police car hit them in the back. The hot man accelerated and the police turned on their sirens, starting an epic chase through the city.

"Let me distract the cops, honey bun!" Jamie said, grabbing Charlie between her hands.

"NO!" River shouted and grabbed her wrist. "He is important to me!"

"There's no other way!" She pulled the head by the ears with all her strength while River pulled it back by the hair.

"IT'S MINE!"

"I'LL GET YOU A BETTER ONE!"

"I WANT THIS ONE!"

"BABE, STOP MAKING A SCENE!"

"NO!"

"C'MON!"

"HE WAS LIKE A FATHER TO ME!"

"NO, HE WASN'T!" Jamie yanked the head away from River's hand, and he roared like a sexy lion.

Jamie stuck half her body out of the car window and tossed the head at the nearest police car behind them.

The head hit its windshield, breaking it, and landed on the driver's lap who panicked and lost control of the car. He crashed against the next police car and then a truck, starting a chain reaction of cars that piled up against each other.

A fuel truck crashed against the bunch and exploded, engulfing everything and everyone in an immense fireball that incinerated their chasers.

Jamie laughed proudly at her deed and sat back in her seat. However, River's face looked on the verge of tears.

"See, honey bum?" she said, groping him. "Charlie saved us."

"You didn't listen to me." River scowled. "I told you I loved him."

"You didn't even know that old fart." She smacked his head and folded her arms, pouting.

"Perhaps, but he was there when no one else was!" His body tightened and fur began to spread throughout his skin.

"If you're so upset, you might as well drop me here." Jamie was tired and wanted cake. Plus she had no idea about their future together. Was that sexy beast worth the struggle?

"No." River glared at her. "We're in this together now."

Jamie felt the tense atmosphere in the car and decided not to speak anymore. He was the best boyfriend she had ever had. Not even Tom, Steven, or Persen was so wild and masculine. None of them lasted so long and certainly, they were much smaller.

"I'll get you a new one," she said, looking out the window. "A bigger and even hairier homeless man."

River remained silent and nodded.

Sunset fell on the horizon and their car advanced toward an unknown destination.
