SeongHwa's POV.

I smiled excitedly taking a bite of the beef that Yunho had bought me for my birthday. Sitting at the dining table across from Hongjoong who was doing work on his laptop. He had looked at me for a moment before chuckling softly before looking back at his laptop.

"What?" I asked smiling at him and he shook his head keeping his eyes on the screen of the laptop with a toothy smile before answering. "Nothing, you're just really cute. " He said looking away from his work to look at me making me blush slightly as I looked away from his eyes shyly, continuing to eat.

"Hey, your cover is going up soon. " He said catching my attention and I smiled widely. "Really? Do you think they'll like it?" I asked looking at him and he shook his head no making frown a bit.

"Hwa, they're going to love it." He said placing his hand on top of mine and I nodded blushing more with a small smile.

"I know that I definitely love it." He said making me smile more. "Really?" I asked looking at him and he nodded smiling. "Is there someone you had in mind while singing it?" He asked looking at me and I shook my head. "Just atiny. " I said half lying. Of course I had someone in mind, him. But I can't tell him that. He might think it's weird and feel uncomfortable. I don't want want to risk losing him already.

He nodded smiling as he looked back at his laptop, typing something before closing it. "Is there anything you want to do today?" He asked leaning on the table towards me, resting his head on the palm of his hand, looking into my eyes. I smiled widely leaning towards him as well and shrugged. All I wanted to do was be with him. I could stare at him all day. Watching his focused face as he worked, biting his bottom lip every so often. The sparkle in his eyes as he typed into his computer. The way he would quietly mumble to himself. The way his small delicate hands would hold the pencil as he wrote in his notebook. The way he would excitedly show me some lyrics from time to time. Everything about him was perfect and all mine. He truly is my angel.

"Hmm, well we cou-"

"I love you, Hongjoong. " I said without really thinking, cutting him off. He chuckled smiling widely as he looked at me and leaned in more before turning my head to the side and kissed my cheek softly and leaned back in his chair. "I love you, Seonghwa. " He said looking at me as he crossed his arms. Hongjoong and I haven't kissed yet, pretty much all we've done was hold hands and take naps together, so you can imagine my excitement when he kissed my cheek. I felt my heart pounding and cheeks burn. Honestly I think I fell in love all over again. I looked at him shocked and he just laughed before standing up from his chair and walked towards me and wrapped his arms around my shoulders from behind me and softly kissed my cheek again before whispering softly.

"Thank you Seonghwa for being so patient with me. I can imagine how hard it must be for you. You've waited for so long and now you have to wait longer. It isn't easy I know, but I really care about you. I want nothing more than to be able to touch you, but I keep holding myself back. I really want to kiss you properly, to hold you proudly and treat you the way you want and deserve to be treated. I want you to know that it isn't your fault but my own. And I want you to know that it isn't because of her, I promise you that. You are the only one I think about, even when you are right beside me. I'm constantly wondering how you are feeling. What you're thinking. If you've eaten and drank properly. If you slept well the night before. If you had any bad dreams during your sleep. If you're treating yourself well and if you need help or anything. I've constantly thought about how your lips would feel on mine or my skin and the thought makes me happy. Seonghwa I love watching you. The way your Boba eyes light up when you look at me. The way your plump lips turn upwards into a smile. My favorite thing in the world is seeing you happy. I love taking naps with you, even though we don't hold each other. I love waking up before you and watching you sleep peacefully unaware that my eyes are on you. I love watching you wake up and quickly pretending to be asleep so you don't catch me staring. Then feeling your hand gently caress my cheek soothingly as you watch me sleep. I love listening to you hum softly beside me. It hurts me so much that I can't be the boyfriend you've dreamed of. But I'm trying because I love you, my angel. "

I felt him remove his arms from me and put his hand under my chin making me look up at him. "Hongjoong-"

"Please, let me try. " He said looking into my eyes before leaning in. Everything felt like it was in slow motion as I felt his breath hit my lips. I wanted so badly to lean in as well but, patience, I have to be patient...I'm trying to be patient...I'm sorry Joong, I can't be patient anymore, not with you so close to me like this, I want this, I want it so bad, I...I need it.

I stood up quickly as I put my hand on the side of his face and my other hand on his waist pulling him closer to me making his eyes widen at my actions placing his hands on my shoulder as he looked up at me. "Hwa-"

"Joong, please let me count the tattoos on your skin?" I asked in a breathless whisper, looking into his eyes making him blush and nod slowly. I wasted no time and softly placed my lips on his kissing him slowly and he hesitantly wrapped his arms around my neck as he kissed me back. I couldn't help but smile into the kiss. His lips were everything I imagined and much more. They're incredible soft and fit perfectly with mine. Thank God nobody else was home. I picked him up before placing him onto the table, his lips still on mine.

I felt him part his lips in the kiss and took the chance to slip my tongue into his mouth, exploring his wet cavern and he moaned slightly as our tongues swirled together. His hand gripped tightly onto my shirt as one my hands went under his hoodie. God, this was heaven. I pulled away from the kiss and we looked at each other breathlessly.

"Can I?" I asked motioning to his hoodie and he nodded shyly and I smiled taking it off him and tossed it somewhere in the dining room. He looked away covering himself when he noticed that I was staring in awe of his beauty and I chuckled taking his hands in mine. "Joongie, please don't hide from me. I think you are stunning. If you are uncomfortable we can stop here-"

"No, it's just...it's awkward here. Someone could come home and see us. Let's go to your or my room. " He said looking at me and I nodded smiling before kissing him again softly before grabbing his hoodie and took him to my room.

"Are you alright? I didn't go too hard, did I?" I asked after cleaning us up and he shook his head. "No it was perfect, you were perfect. Was it good for you? Was I good enough?" He asked looking at me and I nodded smiling widely. "You were perfect, everything I've ever wanted. " I said reassuring him and he nodded smiling tiredly. "Let's sleep now baby. You must be worn out, we can shower later and change the sheets then. " I said tossing the wet cloth I had into the laundry bin and laid beside him, pulling him into my arms and kissed his head and he nodded smiling as he closed his eyes. "Happy birthday, Hwa." He mumbled before falling asleep. "Goodnight, my baby angel." I whispered softly running my fingers through his hair and hummed, slowly falling asleep myself.

Today was probably the best birthday I've ever had. I got to spend it with the one I love the most in the world. I couldn't ask for anything better than this.
