After his interaction with Taehyung's parents, Jungkook spent some time in his room and took an afternoon nap after lunch, and then woke up at 5 pm to study. He studied for the upcoming exams up until 7pm and then took a long bath, to refresh him from the sleep and tiredness, as he wanted to, afterwards, join his aunt enthusiastically, to prepare dinner together.
He immersed himself in warm bathwater, while his mind started to think about all the things that were happening in his life and that happened already. How did things change so much? Just a month ago, he was a normal boy for this family, who was cared endlessly by them...but now? He is probably going to be a part of this family? He will no longer be a Jeon. He will be KIM, that too Kim Taehyung's husband, Kim Jungkook!!
The name itself made so many butterflies go wild inside kook's stomach. He cannot believe, someday, he will be husband of the most successful and kind hearted CEO. To be frank, initially he was going to reject the idea, as it was too intimidating of an idea and really a big thing for him to digest, let alone accept! But after his few...umm, let's say...private interactions?... with Taehyung and after their conversation in the garden, kook finally gave in and listened to his heart, that, by then, had already started beating for the handsome CEO, but because of social fears and difference of status, he didn't want to listen to his heart at first.
He sighed and lay more comfortably in the bathtub, while thinking about his Sungmin uncle and Minji aunty. They were literally angels- to even think about Jungkook as the potential partner of their only son...it was unbelievable thing to do for kook. There was literally nothing special about him (according to Jungkook, himself) so he couldn't fathom why all three Kims wanted him as a part of their family. But, if he was being honest with himself, he was beyond ecstatic and happy with this. He wanted to be selfish for once and listen to his heart, which wanted to be with this family forever. He was already so dedicated towards this family... so to have the opportunity to become one with them; Jungkook couldn't have asked more from life than this.
Especially, to be a partner of a person like Kim Taehyung-who, in eyes of Jungkook, was a perfect man...how was he so lucky? He was going to get great in-laws and a very understanding and... romantic husband, who cherished and most importantly respected him a lot... so, Jungkook felt like, it was some sort of dream that he didn't want to end.
Speaking about Taehyung, he remembered that Taehyung doesn't yet know about his 'yes'! Kook wonders what will be his reaction. He will not regret all this, right? Taehyung seemed as happy for this union as Jungkook, so kook scolded himself for even doubting that man, who was nothing but sweet to him from the start.
The parents told him to wait for Taehyung to come back from the office and to tell the answer face-to-face, during dinner. So Jungkook agreed and now, he couldn't help but glance at that damn clock, whose hour and minute hands were moving as slowly as a snail, at least it seemed so. Why was time not running away fast, now?
