Prom

The teenage Dandara stands alone at the corner of the school court, the pink and blue lights from the party reflecting on her anxious face, the girl wears a beautiful pink ball gown dress, embellished with flowers that she made, her puff afro hair touching her shoulders and a light simple makeup with only eyeliner, pinkish lipstick and blush. She looks around, watching the girls dancing with the boys like they are in a Disney movie, Dandara glares at the entrance of the court, she seems to be waiting for something or someone, until a boy charmingly walks in the party, the girl smiles, and runs to his direction holding her gown up a bit

" Brandon! Hi!"

" Oh. . . Hi Dandara."

The girl stops in front of him smiling with excitement and says in admiration

" You look so beautiful in that suit!"

" Hah thank you. "

Suddenly, the music changes, and "perfect" from Ed Sheran starts playing

" That's my favorite song! It's so beautiful! Let's go dance! "

She tries to hold Brandon's hand and pull him to the dance floor, but he pushes the girl's hand while saying

" Dandara, I need to tell you something. . . I called Stephanie to prom. . ."

She stops while staring at him, with confusion in her innocent eyes

" What?"

" Well I. . . You are a great girl, but I couldn't come with someone like you to prom, like, it's a important event, my friends would make fun of me if they saw me with you. . ."

He puts his hands inside his pockets while avoiding eye contact

" You're a amazing girl but. . . not the one to take to prom you know. . . I hope you understand."

Brandon taps her shoulder and walks to Stephanie's direction at the dance floor, leaving Dandara standing there alone, watching him hug the fair skin girl, compliment her, and start to dance slowly as the song echoes trough the place, Dandara breathes heavily, clenching her fist, her mouth trembling and her eyes watering, the girl runs out of the party. She runs into the forest with one hand holding her gown and the other wiping her tears, the girl arrives at the open field, looking at the night sky, she sits on the grass and starts sobbing heavily, a painful feeling carving her chest. The floor starts to tremble all of the sudden, getting louder and closer, a enourmus shadow covers the human entire body

" Looks like we have a princess here this night hah! "

The giant chuckles while looking down at the girl, Dandara slowly and shyly looks up, reaviling her red puff eyes and smudged makeup that was messed by her tears, Tyler smile disappears, he frowns his eyebrows in worry, the giant quickly kneels down and gently cups the girl up to his eye level

" Dandara? Are you okay? What happened?"

She explains between her sobs with her hands on her face

" M-My prom partner left me for another girl!"

The girl trembled as she cries, Tyler frowns his eyebrows

" He left you? But why? "

" H-He said that his friends would make fun of him if they saw him with. . . with me. . ."

The girl stares at her hands

" Am I that ugly?"

Dandara looks up at the giant as she asks with big eyes shining from tears, the giant boy quickly answers

" No! You aren't ugly Dandara! You're radiant! Beautuful! Breath taking! That guy is no one to make you think you're not those things!"

The girl looks at the giant with a innocent crying face

" Y-You think?"

" Of course I do!"

Tyler looks away with his face getting red and completes

" I wish I had the size to take you prom, and make you feel like the princess you are. . . because. . . because I like you Dandara! "

The girl stares at the giant, she feels her heart beating faster and her face getting warmer

" You. . . you like me?!"

The human asks in disbelief, the giant lowers his head with embarrassment

" Y-Yes I do. . . But I know I wouldn't have a chance so I suppressed it."

" But I like you! I never thought you would like me that way because of my size! "

The giant looks at the girl, he widens his eyes and lifts his eyebrows with surprise and chock

" What?? You like me?! But I thought you didn't like me because of MY size!"

" I don't care about your size!"

" Well I don't care about your size either!"

They share a deep eye contact with each other, the teenagers slowly starts to smile and blush, they laugh nervously, Dandara wipes her tears while giving a shy smile, she fixes her puff hair and says

" So Tyler. . . as you said that I'm a princess. . . would you like to my prince? My really big prince haha!"

She asks while pulling the dress fabric with her anxious hands, the giant blinks quickly and speechless, but he then grabs her tiny hand with his thumb and index finger and answers

" I would love to~"

The giant gets closer, and puts his big lips on the girl's hand, kissing her skin, but Dandara goes further, when he starts to drift away, she leans closer and kisses his bottom lip, Tyler stares at her, his face red, she smiles, and he starts to laugh, she laughs too, the giant brings the girl closer, and kisses her face

" You taste a bit like vanilla~"

" Oh! is my body lotion hahah!~"

" I like it~"

The giant smiles, he gets up, putting Dandara on his shoulder, the girl hugs his neck

" Lets take a walk my princess~"

They smile as Tyler walks between the trees under the moonlight.
