Jade wells wasn't popular, nor was she a name people remembered. She wasn't a cheerleader, never followed the dress code, and she never had any fascination in anything really.

She liked the sky, the colours it created. She would lay under the pattern of clouds, hoping that maybe one day her father was looking down at her from above.

Oh how jade loved her father.

She had grown up wishing she would get his genes, he was loved by everyone who met him. He was naturally perfect in every way.
Jade didn't think she was. She wasn't creative, or very smart like her father. Her intelligence was average, but her mother made sure it was above and beyond for jades sake.

She worked hard for her grades, missing out on all the things she could have done to live her teenage years to pave a better path for her future. She just wanted to live properly. She knew that deep down she was letting her life be consumed by textbooks and essays. She knew that her life was pathetic, and she needed to change that.

But she never wanted to disappoint her mother. She made a promise at least to herself, she would never disappoint her. Her parents were all she ever had.

She already lost one, she can't lose another.

At least not now.

Wally clark admired the teenage girl. Although he had died 35 years before her, he related to her in a way he's never related to anyone before. He seen how her smile dropped when her friends looked away, how she smoked away the texts her mom sent her in the morning. How she could never truly be herself without someone getting mad.
He seen it all.

Jade doesn't know Wally exists, and although Wally was sad they could never meet, he knows it's for the better.

she's alive and he's not.

they are two totally different dimensions away from one another.

for now he could only admire her from a far.

A lifetime away.
