Summer~

"Are you nervous?" Nikole asked me. We were waiting at the dinner table for my father(David) and his family to arrive. I shook my head "Nah not really, Just hope everything goes good" I seen the waiter escorting them to our table and I smiled. I stood up as he came over to my chair and gave me a tight hug. "It's so crazy, you look just like my sister I cannot wait for you two to meet." He had a big smile as he examined my face. His wife came over and gave me a hug "This is Maria, my wife. That's Destiny and Dj" He pointed to a woman that looks like she was around my age and a guy that looked pretty young maybe eighteen or nineteen. "What Up" Dj came around giving me a hug and Destiny just sat down and gave a slight smile "Hey".

"Don't mind her she's a bitch most of the time" Dj said  before going to sit down next to her. "And this must be Princess Kayla I heard so much about" He squatted down so he was now eye level with Kayla. She shyly waved at him. "Don't worry she's usually shy but once she breaks out of her shell she will just talk and talk all day long. This is my sister Nikole" I introduced her to the family.

1 hour later

We finished eating dinner but continued to talk as we got to know each other. Dj was literally the boy version of Nikole. Maria was okay, she didn't really open up as much as I expected her to however this was our first time meeting. Destiny didn't engage in any conversation with me at all. She was on her phone most of the time and rolling her eyes.

Kayla rubbed her eyes and leaned over on me. "We are probably going to leave soon, someone's getting tired" I tapped her nose with my index finger and she laughed.

"Do you work or are you just like another Jayda or Ari you know? Another rapper's babymama" Destiny finally spoke up.

"Destiny!" Maria snapped at her "Forgive her she doesn't care what comes out of her mouth"

"Or what goes in it" Dj said as he and Nikole started laughing

"It's okay" I said to maria and then turned my attention to Destiny "Well I'm actually a costume designer for some of the latest tv shows and upcoming movies. Also Styling a few celebrities here and there when I'm not busy. So naw I'm not just another rapper's babymama"

"Well that's good for you" she said sarcastically

"You got a problem or something you want to address?" I said obviously irritated with her.

"Nope you good"

"Thought so" I said before pulling out my purse and putting money down for Kayla and My dinner. "It was nice meeting you guys, I'm going to head out though" I stood up and placed Kayla on my hip. "Wait Summer" David said as he followed me. Nikole took her money out of her purse and threw it on the table towards Destiny's direction "Keep the change" She winked and smiled. She stood up as if she wanted to fight but Dj quickly grabbed her "Now you know damn well you cant fight. Sit down D"

I walked out of the restaurant with Nikole and David following me. I gave my ticket and money to the valet driver. "Summer take this" He gave me the money I put down on the table." I will not let you pay for dinner at all. please forgive her behavior, she's just used to her being the only girl in the family, and this is something new to her" I nodded "Yeah well, this is something new to me as well"

"I understand. I hope this doesn't mess up the opportunity for us to become closer". The valet driver brought my truck around and I opened the door so I could strap Kayla in. Once I was done I closed her door and turned back to David "I don't have a problem with meeting with you all again. I'm working on my temper and have done so well for almost three years now. I will not let anyone take me out of my journey and get me to act out of character. Unless I really need to"
