The morning started as most mornings did in the UA dorms. The early birds were preparing breakfast, already showered and dressed for the day and the night owls (such as yourself) were only just waking up to the chaos that was Breakfast time in dorm 3A.
It was a nice chaos, the kind that felt like family, whether you loved them or not.
"Hey Baku-bro, more internships?" Kirishima asked as he flopped into the sofa seat beside the bored blonde who had been rereading his new contract for Endeavours agency, the letter held carelessly in his distracted hand.
He barely lifted his head to acknowledge the red head Alpha before shrugging.
"Yeah."
"Ooh, with Endeavours Agency again?" Kiri grinned, urging the usual limitless energy from the suddenly quiet Katsuki.
When he simply nodded, Kiri knew for sure that something was wrong.
Overnight, something strange had knocked him and he couldn't put his finger on what.
He was more irritable, tired and way more antisocial than usual, despite the 10 hours of sleep he had managed to get.
He'd felt perfectly normal when he had fallen asleep. It was as if he'd gotten out of the wrong side of the bed...
His mind was floating, not focusing on anything in particular, the smell of cooking food, the idle chatter of a few betas, the bragging of Kaminari who had somehow gotten lucky enough to be an Alpha... But something else kept pulling at his attention. Something new in the air.
In fact, it seemed to briefly catch the attention of several of the Alphas in the room before they shrugged it off.
It held Bakugos deflated attention, peaking his interest and making him almost feel... Excited? His pulse was racing.
His nose lifted as he inhaled slowly and deeply, making Kirishima give him a confused look before the red Alpha looked around curiously.
There was only the people in the room and breakfast cooking away in the kitchen for him to take notice of.
But Bakugo was smelling the most heavenly scent on earth, at least to him. How was no one else reacting to it?
"Everything okay man?"
"Yeah. I just need a damn coffee..." He grunts out, hoping the smell will cleanse his nose.

You groaned and stretched, trying to wake yourself up as you headed downstairs and into the kitchen, not paying much attention to anyone around you as you made a beeline for the coffee machine like you always did, prioritizing caffeine over food.
You'd managed to sleep like a rock but felt like you'd been tossing and turning all night, your body and mind drained.
You barely made it five feet away from reaching your holy goal when you sleepily crash into a wall of muscle, stepping back from the impact with a soft groan.
You were about to apologize, hands up in admittance of fault that you hadn't been looking where you were going... but it was Bakugos red eyes that were staring down at you, unblinking and silent, almost as if he was studying you. You smelled different today...
All words of apology died on your tongue.
"Move." You huff, crossing your arms and he blinks, shaking his head for a minute before scowling down at you.
"Back off runt, I was here first." His deep early morning rumble felt like nails on a chalk board and you scowled back at him, ducking around him to touch the machine first and claim your turn.
