Once upon a time, there was a princess. She came from a loving family, adored by all around her. She enjoyed singing with the birds on her balcony overlooking the sea as the waves crashed along the shore. One day, a prince arrived on her island. He was a dashing man, chivalrous and steadfast in his shining armor. He swooped the princess off her feet with his silver tongue and promised a bright future together, where they would build the perfect kingdom strong like their love for one another.

The princess was 18 years of age and chose to leave with the prince to begin a new chapter. They sailed across the sea for 4 days together until they reached the new land they would call home. On the first day, the princess gave up her dreams and deepest desires to the prince. On day two, she gave up all her darkest secrets to the prince. On day three, she gave up her body and mind to the prince. On the fourth day, she gave up her very soul for the prince. Her trust, her dignity, the prince could have it all because she loved him so much.

As their boat sailed ashore, the prince raised a hand to help the princess down to the beach, or so she thought. His grip turned fierce and proceeded to drag away the princess into the mainland. The princess cried and screamed "Why? Oh, why do you treat me like this, my love?!"

"Trust me, my princess." The prince replied. "All will be well, I promise."

The princess complied, for she had given her trust to the prince. Her body grew scratches and bruises from her body dragging across the terrain, but her body was given to the prince as well, so she brushed it off. On the mainland, the princess was taken and put in a dungeon. "What is this?!" She cried. "I thought you loved me!"

"I'm sorry, my dear. You have been deceived." The prince chuckled. "I had my own secrets, but now I have yours to use if you ever try to escape. If you try, I will tell everyone the dirty rotten thing you really are."

As the lock clicked shut, the princess sunk to the ground in despair, brokenhearted and alone.

As the prince prospered building his kingdom, the princess slowly began to fade away little by little each day. As each of her dreams and desires were thrown away by the prince, a piece of her would disappear, until, at last, there was nothing left. The End.

I never mentioned this was a happy fairy tale, but this was Lacy's fairy tale. The rotten and twisted fairy tale she was trapped in. Call it a story of what happens when you place your trust in the wrong person, a toxic relationship, or what happens when you jump too quickly into a relationship, that is just fine.

To Lacy, this was her story of how she got here. Fooled by falling in love with a man that promised her everything, convinced her to leave her home, and trapped her here on Lucky Isle to live the rest of her life in slavery. She will never forget, and she will never fall for a fairy tale like that ever again.

"Now then..." Amore sat back in his chair with a serious look on his face. "Do you know this man, Lacy?"

"No! I've never even seen him before-"

"Quiet!" Amore punched the table, making Lacy jump. "Don't you dare try to lie to me, princess. You danced for this bastard like he was your very own." Amore took a breath to cool down for a moment and turned to Margoph. "Remove the tape from his mouth."
