Writing Prompt #9: The Roar of Water

Consider this woman for a moment. Perhaps she is a powerful water mage who is the captain of her own pirate crew, or an unorthodox water nymph who'd, rather than live a stationary life, travels and takes her waters with her, maybe she's a water elemental who guards a secret treasure and only confronts people on their way back out of the trials. Maybe she's the mentor/mother figure to another character or perhaps even their rival. How did she lose her eye? What weapon or being can harm a person who turn into water? 

Consider what her role and personality is. What is she seeking? Does she have a specific set of morals or is any sort of deed on the table if means fulfilling her goals/desires? What are her weaknesses? Is she too greedy or perhaps too loyal to her friends or crew to the point where she'd willingly stop what she's doing in order to risk her life to save them? Or is her callousness her weakness?

1.) "I'll be taking that back now."

2.) "Money is money. We all need it, not enough have it. I will have my share."

3.) 'You shouldn't play with a Goddess, you'll drown."

4.) "Make sure you pay your dues, or I'll find you."

5.) "You shouldn't be here."

6.) "I'm sure we all can find a nice, safe, healthy solution to this that doesn't involve me popping your friends a like a water balloon."

7.) "So, are you every going to tell us what happened to your eye?"

"I only tell the men I fuck that story and you're not one of them."

8.) "Sure, she's all smiles and giggles right now, but wait until someone pisses her off."

9.) "I've lived for a long time, kid. You tend to learn that it's always best to kill them now. Preferably in the most gruesome way imaginable. That way, if any of their friends just happened to be watching, they'll know I am not the one to fuck with."

10.) "I haven't been a goddess in a long time."

11.) "I don't care what my brother expects of me. I'm not going back."

"You do know I can make you?"

12.) "Ah, yes. My favorite past time. Drowning unsuspecting fools."

13.) "Did you piss in my water?"

14.) "Ok, we're going to have to have a change of plans. That's my mother and she's going to be pissed if she finds what I've been doing for the last two hundred years."

15.) "You shut your mouth. Don't think I didn't see how you cheated. I didn't even know you could do that."

16.) I've guarded these tunnels for many years and I'm sick of it. Promise me you'll let me come with you and I'll give you the ____."

17.) "Wow, that was easier than expected."

18.) "Real smooth. Now how are we going to find the _____."

"Well, I could turn him into a man-sized prune."

19.) "How have you survived this long"

"Spite. Well, that and the fact that I'm immortal, but it sounds better when I say spite."

20.) "Long time no see, little sister. How long has it been since we last spoke?"

"Not long enough it seems. I could go another hundred years with hearing your name."

21.) "I didn't think you could drown."

"I'm a saltwater nymph, you idiot! That was freshwater!"

22.) "Listen up, it's time for a drastic alteration in our strategy. You see, that woman approaching us? That's my mother, and trust me, she'll be beyond furious if she discovers what I've been up to for the past two centuries."

23.)  "What are we if not for our principals?"

24.)  "How are you alive?"

"She tried to drown me. Turns out all those tales about my heritage were true."

25.) "Please. Mother. Don't do this. Let them live."

"Do not plead to me now child. After all that you've done, after all that you've taken! It's time you paid your debt."

26.) "Your powers do not work on me. I suggest you-"

27.) "I didn't know you could bleed."

"Neither did I."

28.)  "Lie to me again and I'm going to freeze your veins."

"She can do that?"

29.) "I've waited for you, but you never came."

30.) "I wouldn't go in there if I were you. She's not in a good mood."
