The story takes place in a bar for mercenaries. The Galaxy always need a job done. What type of job is the question. Is this bar for the top mercs or for the ones who are just starting out their careers? Is there an intergalactic war going on and someone needs to be assassinated? Or is this a simple transport job to goes wrong? What if there is a bounty hunter that is after the MC and their crew? What if they're hiring the MC to help them? What if that's just a ploy that the Bounty hunter is using to lure the MC into a false sense of security?
What sort of mercenary is this story going to focus on? Are they a charismatic rogue who will take on any job for the right money? Or they the stoic disciplined merc who has strict rules that they will break? Maybe they are a newbie looking for their first job or maybe they're deciding to break away from their old crew in order to make it big on their own.
Consider their backstory. What happened that's caused them to become the person they are today? Who has betrayed them? Did they have any lost lovers? Do they have a crew of like minded friends or are they a solo merc?
