It all started when my parents passed away,or so I thought. I was taken to the orphanage at the age of five. To me it was a hell hole. Whenever parents came to adopt children I always run and hide. I wanted my parents to come get me because for some reason I believed they were alive. I got to the age of sixteen and left the place. I thought since no one was going to adopt an already grown kid I decided to leave. It was a hard decision but I still left. I had a friend but he was also adopted when we were eight and six and since then I haven't heard from him. I decided to look for my parents even though I had no idea how to start. The only memory I have of them is a necklace with the first letter of their names on it and mine too. A.S.H .
Years passed and no luck. I gave up. At least I tried. I always say to myself. Now I am twenty-four years. I decided to make my Birthday the day I left the orphanage, 22/09 . Now I work two jobs in a week trying to meet up my expenses. School was never in the picture as the schools in this city aren't for people like me.
I am Nadrah, and this is my story.
^^
It was ten o'clock when she finally finished her shift. She works at a restaurant and coffee shop that was an hour away from her apartment.
After saying her goodbyes she wore her headphones and started walking. She listened to nature. The crashing of waves against the rocks, the laughter of people, the birds chirping and water falls.
She stood by the road waiting for the red sign to come on. For a busy city like Abuja the road sure was empty today. Not empty per say. Just maybe two to three cars passed by in a minute or two.
Seeing there wasn't so much car and she wanted to be home early she decided to cross before the red light came on because it was starting to rain.
"Are you kidding me right now?" She said to herself and put on the hoodie that was attached to her sweater.
The road was already slippery so she walked as slow as possible to maintain her balance.
She was five feet away from reaching the other side of the road when a car came through. Unable to move, she stood and watched as the car rapidly come towards her.
Her life flashed before her eyes.
She saw people's faces in a blurry vision.
Voices echoed in her ears.
"Put her in the car" she heard someone say.
After that darkness took over.

A must read please...
Just a little heads up about this book, most of us have read other related novels and have seen how everything goes on. Well this book might be a little bit of something you won't expect. This book contains both English and Hausa formats in it. From the behaviours of the characters to the words they speak. All in all, this book is not like any other book you might have read. I wanted it to be different so I hope you won't be disappointed. This is my way of writing and I hope you guys enjoy it as I have put In alot of effort to write it.
Like,comment and share.
Thanks in advance.
