Naruto's POV

'It is Monday again. I guess I will have to go to the academy again. I hate going. I hate the village. I hate everything. I think that I am a monster, a demon. This is the reason why everyone says those horrible things about me.'

'My weekend went as bad as usual. However, I don't really know why Shikamaru, Ino, Choji, and Hinata were following me. There has to be a reason, but it doesn't matter. I don't deserve anything.'

End of Naruto's POV

'Monster, demon, worthless.' Naruto repeated these words all the way to the academy.

Not caring anymore about the stares. Not caring anymore about all the people who hated him and treated him like trash.

Naruto had decided that he was going to accept what the world had prepared for him. He was not going to fight for it anymore, and he was not going to keep his mask on anymore.

He was going to face everything with his true nature. In a calm and serious way. Without smilling and without the attitude that he always showed to everybody.

Naruto arrived at the academy and walked through the hallways for it till he reached his classroom. Then, he opened the door and found only two people in there.

The first one was Sasuke, who was sitted in the second row of the classroom at the left side of it. The other one was Shikamaru, who was at the last row in the middle of the classroom. The best place to sleep without having to worry about Iruka sensei.

Naruto went inside, and both Shikamaru and Sasuke were surprised by Naruto's attitude. He didn't yell. He didn't say anything. He just went to his seat and seated quietly. Then, he dropped his head on his desk and put his arms around like he was sleeping.

Sasuke was so surprised about Naruto's change of attitude that he even looked at Shikamaru with surprised eyes. Shikamaru did the same, and then he gave signaled him to go outside. Then, Shikamaru and Sasuke left the classroom while Naruto was left alone inside.

Outside of the classroom, Shikamaru explained to Sasuke all the things that he saw during the weekend. Sasuke was surprised to hear about all that because he never expected this attitude from Naruto.

He knew that Naruto had always been alone, and he always believed that Naruto was pretty careless, but it seemed that Naruto was cleverer than he expected.

Sasuke didn't really care about Naruto. He only cared about surpassing his big brother. Itachi had always been a prodigy, and he was the strongest member of the Uchiha clan. Itachi had always shown an emotionless attitude, so Sasuke didn't have a lot of experience with feelings. However, he knew that his big brother cared deeply about him even if he didn't say. In the same way, Sasuke cared deeply about his big brother.

Sasuke and Shikamaru went back yo the classroom. Now, Sasuke is aware of the situation and the incidents surrounding Naruto. He decided that he was not going to do anything at the moment, but he wanted to talk about the situation with Itachi since he could help him to know if what Shikamaru said was true or not. It's not that Sasuke really cared about Naruto's well-being. However, his little brother always talked to him about the importance of helping a comrade in need.

During Sasuke's and Shikamaru's talk, Naruto was thinking about the monster that he was. He was remembering the times that he protected Hinata from bullies, but it seemed that this didn't matter at all.

Naruto was not someone who would do nothing at the sight of a comrade being hurt. He wanted to help and make the other person feel better. After all, this was part of his kind nature.

He knew that nobody cared for him. He even let himself be followed by Shikamaru, Choji, Hinata, and Ino during the weekend to prove his theory. He even decided to show his true nature to them by not using his mask during his time on the forest. However, they didn't do anything.

They had not interfered when Naruto had shown them that he was not happy at all, and Naruto interpreted this as their way to say that they didn't care for him at all.

This was the last signal that he needed to fall into despair, and everyone was going to see that he was not the kind of person that he had shown during all this time.

A couple of hours passed till it reached lunchtime. Everyone had noticed that something was wrong with Naruto, but they didn't do anything to try to find out what was wrong with him.

In lunchtime, Naruto just went to his swing and did the same that he always did. Observe while others play. The day went on without incidents, and Naruto didn't cheer up during the rest of the day while he was in the academy.

After the last bell rang, everyone went out since this means that the academy had ended by today.

Naruto was going to his home. If you could call it like that since he never had something to do while he was in there. He didn't have someone to really talk with, and Naruto was always really bored while he was at home.

Everything was going as bad as usual when he was on his way home. Stares full of hatred and killing intent. Naruto reached the door of his house, and he was about to open it when something odd happened.

He heard somebody say, " Wait, Naruto-Kun. I need to talk with you." Naruto looked at his left side, and there she was. Hinata was standing in there. All flustered with her face as red as a tomato.

Naruto just looked at her for a moment that seemed like hours to Hinata, and then he said, " Hi Hinata, what do you need?." With a bored and sad look.

She didn't say anything. She only looked at his eyes, and that was the moment in which Naruto saw something that surprised him. He saw determination and pain in Hinata's eyes. He was able to see that she didn't intend to do something bad to him, and something ignited inside of him. A little light of hope that could either intensify or dissipate depending on Hinata's next actions.
