Naruto: Rejected

The beginning of the doubts

The next morning, Naruto knew that he was going to spend time in one of those places in which he was rejected.

Naruto was always treated in a horrible way by almost all the students in his class.

The only ones who didn't treat Naruto like a monster were Shikamaru, Choji, Sasuke since it seemed that he didn't care about Naruto at all, and Hinata that always got a red face every time that she was around him.

That morning, Naruto went to the academy while receiving looks full of hatred from the villagers.

Everyone looked at him like he had done something terrible to them, but Naruto didn't remember to have done something so bad that the whole village would hate him.

On his way to the academy, he was able to listen to others say, "There it goes, the demon of the village, he is just a monster."

"Why does the hokage protect a monster, a demon, a beast that can attack us at every moment?. I dont understand the hokage, but we need to keep planning the death of the demon. Our families and children will not be safe until that demon is erased from this world."

All these words and attitudes towards Naruto only opened up a whole on his heart. He felt a terrible sensation on his chest, and he didn't know why. He felt like he was being stabbed, like there was a hole on his chest, but he didn't understand why it hurt so much.

A lot of times, he had decided to check that everything was good, but he was never able to find something on his chest that could explain the unbearable pain.

Before entering the academy, this pain made Naruto go to the bathroom only to once again see that he was not hurt. What Naruto didn't know was that what hurt so much was not a wound that could be seen from the outside.

Naruto was craving for at least a little bit of love that could show him that he had some value. Something that could give him strength to keep going through this situation. He knew that his mask was going to fall soon if something didn't change.

Naruto was taken out of his own thoughts by the bell of the academy that announced the beginning of class. Naruto realized that he was being late again, and he decided to try to reach before his teacher Iruka did.

Naruto ran with all his forces, but he was unable to outrun Iruka.

Naruto opened up the door while panting hard due to all the distance that he had to cover in so tittle time. He had really believed that he had outrun Iruka this time and that he was going to be able to start his day without being yelled.

When Naruto opened the door, he saw Iruka at the front of the classroom, and that moment Iruka yelled, " Naruto, why are you always late!!!??. Now, you will have extra work, and I will choose your seat due to your tardiness. Sit beside Sakura Haruno."

After hearing this, Naruto didn't even flinch. He just grinned and said, " all right, Iruka sensei, no problem". He showed a happy attitude, but he was pretty depressed in the inside. He thought that he was going to be able to avoid the yelling, but he knew that he was not good enough. Then, he decided to sit next to Sakura with his arms behind his head and a fake smile on his face. After he sat down, the class started.

During the first period in the academy, he slept during class, but this didn't last long since Iruka yelled "Narutooo" after he saw him sleeping. This made Naruto wake up surprised while gaining laughs from the rest of the class.

At lunch, everybody except Naruto and Shikamaru went running since they were both asleep on their spots. However, Shikamaru woke up due to all the noise made by all his classmates on their way our.

Shikamaru woke up and saw that Naruto was sleeping, so he decided to go to wake him while saying, " What a drag" on his way to Naruto.

Shikamaru started to try to wake up Naruto, and he was surprised by Naruto's reaction.

After Shikamaru had put his hand on Naruto's shoulder, Naruto had woken up fast and scared. Shikamaru was able to see the feelings that Naruto had led slip only for a moment. However, this was enough for Shikamaru to realize that something was not right.

Naruto changed his facial expression really fast while saying, " Oh Shikamaru, it's you. Sorry for that, I guess you surprised me, jajaja. ".

Then, he proceeded to leave the classroom at full speed since he knew how clever Shikamaru could be. However, it was already too late.

Shikamaru was able to see all the sadness, loneliness, depression, and fear of being hurt through Naruto's eyes. This was enough for Shikamaru to decide to pay more attention to Naruto's actions since he suspected that Naruto was hiding something from everyone.
