— 3rd person pov —
The pair soon heads to the gates, and they spot the familiar pink headed teammate.
"Sasuke- Wait, why are you two walking together again?" She confronts, crossing her arms.
Naruto and Sasuke looked at each other and gently laughed, looking back at the aggravated girl.
"Sleepover." They both abruptly said, which caused them to laugh harder. Sakura stood there, mouth agape, not being able to grasp what they had just said. Sleepover? But they hate eachother!
In the middle of their laughing session, they are interrupted by their Sensei poofing into the air.
"Sorry. Saw an old lady and felt like helping her." The masked man lies. Sakura and Naruto scold him, Sasuke still chuckling from the incident just before.
"Today, we will be visiting the Village Hidden in the Mist again. We need to collect documents for Lady Hokage. It should be a short trip, so I didn't bring much, just 3 tents in case. Let's get going!" Their Sensei claps, opening his book and walking. Naruto and Sasuke smile at eachother, and continue walking.
"So since when did you guys become so close..?" Sakura questions out of jealousy.
"Dunno. It just kinda happened." Naruto shrugs. Sasuke nods in agreement, putting his hands in his pockets.
"Oh? You two have finally decided to get along?" Kakashi says, glancing from his book. The pair nod and smile, meanwhile Sakura huffed and crossed her arms.
The team walks for a little while, chatting and laughing at ridiculous jokes.
"We are almost there." Kakashi states, poining at the familiar bridge.
"Haha, it's been a while since I've been to a town where I'm famous!!" Naruto giggles, putting his hands behind his head. Sakura roles her eyes.
"He probably only did that because he felt bad." Sakura taunts, Naruto drops his hands and puts them in his pockets, looking at the ground and sighing.
"You're probably r- Gyahh!" Naruto winces, gripping his stomach in pain and falling to his knees. Kakashi and Sasuke stopped moving almost instantly.
"Naruto!" Kakashi yells, crouching down and leveling his hands over Naruto.
"You told me it's nothing to worry about!" Scolded Sasuke, also crouching down next to his sensei. Kakashi went to help his student up, but the blonde profusely rejected any help, sticking his hand up and slowly yet wearily getting up.
"It is.. Tch.. Nothing to worry about.." Naruto chokes out, still gripping his stomach.
"What's wrong with you Naruto? If you're gonna slow us down, go back to the village." Sakura says, chuckling. Naruto looks up and her, and weakly smiles, lightly chuckling.
"I'm sorry Sakura.." He speaks, continuing to walk.
"Naruto, you don't look like you're in any position to continue. Cmon, let's abandon the m-"
"No." Naruto glares, looking back at Kakashi.
"I'm fine." He says directly. He continues to walk, grunting with each step. Sasuke and Kakashi look at eachother, faces laced with concern. They continue to walk, making sure to close the gap between them incase Naruto collapses again.
"What was that?" Sakura finally asks, breaking the uncomfortable silence. Naruto shrugs and smiles in her direction.
"I'm sure it's nothing." He smiles, turning his head back to the path.
