After finishing her meal, Dai Shiyuan went back to her room to rest. She played on her phone for a while and saw that her father was calling, so she immediately sat up and answered.

"Xiaoyuan, we don't lack anything at home. You should keep the extra money and buy something for yourself," Dai's father said with a smile in his voice, conveying his joy.

Dai Shiyuan sensed the weariness in his voice and smiled sweetly, saying, "Dad, I earned some money from a part-time job recently. This gift is a small gesture of my appreciation. It's not expensive, I hope you'll like it."

"What are you saying? Dad is happy that you thought of buying us a gift. How could we not like it? But why did you decide to take on a part-time job? Is it because you don't have enough money?" Dai's father asked, expressing his concern.

"No, it's not that. I just wanted to challenge myself and gain some experience," Dai Shiyuan replied with a smile. She hesitated for a moment before continuing, "It's just that..."

She stopped speaking after two words and looked as if she were very troubled.

Dai's father asked anxiously, "What's wrong, Xiaoyuan? Just say it. Don't be afraid to tell me."

"It's just that..." Dai Shiyuan paused again, hesitated for a while before finally saying, "Dad, please don't get angry when I tell you this."

"It's okay, I won't be angry. Just tell me," Dai's father assured her gently.

"I work at a lesbian bar," Dai Shiyuan said quietly.
There was suddenly no sound from the other end of the line, as if he was shocked. She quickly explained, "I didn't know it was a lesbian bar at first. It was only after I had been working there for a while that I found out. They treat me like a little sister and take care of me. I couldn't find a better job, so..."

Dai Shiyuan paused for a moment and spoke in a pitiful tone as if she had done something wrong.

Dai's father remained silent for a long time before finally regaining his voice. He said seriously, "Xiaoyuan, if you need money, Dad can give you some allowance. Don't work there anymore. You're a girl and working in a place like that will damage your reputation."

Dai Shiyuan wasn't surprised to hear this. When Shan Yaxin got divorced, Dai's father used the same argument to persuade her.

"I understand, Dad. I'll send you the gift tomorrow. It's late now, and I need to sleep," Dai Shiyuan responded cheerfully, letting out a yawn as she spoke.

"Okay, get some rest," Dai's father said. "Take care of yourself, too."

After exchanging pleasantries with her father, Dai Shiyuan hung up the phone.

Now that her father knew about her job at the lesbian bar, she didn't have to worry about others making a big deal out of it. 

Moreover, judging by her father's attitude, it seemed like he was just giving her verbal advice and wouldn't take any actual action.

She can still work at the bar for the time being and quit when Dai father's side implements mandatory measures.

With the issue resolved, Dai Shiyuan relaxed and got up to wash up.

She opened the door and saw Shan Yaxin changing shoes, as if she was about to leave.

"Sister Yaxin, are you still working overtime so late?" Dai Shiyuan asked in surprise.

"No, a friend has something for me downstairs. I'll be back soon. Xiaoyuan, you should rest early," Shan Yaxin answered softly with a smile and left after changing shoes.
